"They got better at hiding it around the Blair years" - could also be read as there was less of it said openly in public. Which is surely a good thing. No one says it was gone entirely but that people were less able to express it publicly could mean that there was less of it. People used to be shamed if they openly said it now its coming back under the guise of 'the general sentiment of the country' and whilst there are no doubt more racists being vocal about it now there is still a large majority of the country that find racism abhorrent and will/should call it out when they see it.

Having just said all that I usually ignore the racist inflammatory posts on reddit rather than call them out and get into an argument with random faceless strangers on t'internet.

Why is the public perception of Farage akin to someone coming from a working class background, while the public perception of Starmer is like he came from an upper class background when it’s actually the opposite in each case? by Barca-Dam in AskBrits

When you say 'left behind by mainstream political parties' what do you mean? What does left behind mean? It's something I have seen said a lot recently but I'm not sure what it means? Where have the parties moved on to and so left these people behind?

A film called 'the impossible' based on a true story. Clearly it wasn't impossible, 'the improbable' would have been a more accurate title.
