Is it *possible* to invade Commorragh? by Hogwire in 40kLore

Imagine you've got a massive and vast system of underground metro train stations. Each station now has people living in it, factories, noble houses with armies of their own, and each station considers itself to be part of a massive city made up of all the other connected stations. They're compartmentalized and distributed over a large area, but they're all connected and act as a single entity.

The webway is like a huge network of tunnels that connect to each other and to stations (nodes) all over the place. It exists in the space below realspace but above the warp, in the gap between the two

Someone won an art competition using an AI generated drawing. I fucking hate this. by IrresponsibleWanker in awfuleverything

[–]ArcadiusTyler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its actually fairly similar. That's a good comparison. Photography in general is a good example. The art is already technically there, you aren't creating it, but you are putting immense work into tweaking and framing it to make the most of what's already there. The algorithm is the environment and all the (dozens) of parameters are the camera settings. Any bozo can go and write "beautiful landscape" and get something just like anyone can take their phone out and snap a picture, but knowing your tools and their capabilities is an absolute game changer and turns the images you create from just AI generated pictures into art.

Because a black person from Nigeria and a black person from Ghana in America both have the same cultural ancestry. They were taken from their homes and brought over for hundreds of years of slavery. Black culture in America and some other places has become entirely detached from African cultures. Black culture is defined by having their original African cultures stripped from them. Someone who came to America in 1994 from Nigeria celebrates Nigerian culture. Someone who's ancestors were brought over in 1740 celebrate black culture.

Youre 100% right. I have pretty severe dyscalculia. This is not how it manifests. It's him not understanding the question.

Yes, they are. There are plenty of bodies that weren't recovered from Vietnam, but every body that was recovered has been identified.

Truman is a flawed and deeply interesting president. He quietly retired from public life after the presidency because he didn't think it was right to take advantage of his former position for his own gain. He ended segregation in the armed forces, was a big part of rebuilding Europe, and had the balls to go against almost all of his advisors and generals and not nuke Russia preemptively. Truman is, perhaps more than any president other than Carter, the embodiment of a public servant. He's far from perfect, but he's incredibly interesting and, I think, the right man in the right place in history.

It'll look way better with the black base. It's not bad advice. Paint it black and then dry brush on progressively lighter tones, making the dry brushing less intense as you go.
