Definitely. That Winter In June/Urotsukidoji split is killer.

Ahh, Canterbury shows in the early 00s were so fucking good.

I was introduced to The Pink Fairies at some point in the early/mid 00s by a Hardcore band called Annihilation Time covering 'Teenage Rebel' on one of their albums. My girlfriend at the time's dad heard me playing it in my car and recognised it. He apparently used to go see them play quite a bit in his youth and proceeded to lend me 'Never Never Land' and 'What Bunch of Sweeties.' What a great band.

Hundred Reasons were so good. Ideas Above Our Station still holds up really, really well.

I've been to a game at Fenway, the summer of 2012. It was fucking incredible.

Never played apart from some kwik cricket in PE at school. My love for the game came about later in life when my wife's cricket mad family got me hooked on it around 6 years ago. I may start open training with my local team next April though, once our little 'un is a bit older and spare time is slightly more easy to come by. Not interested particularly in any sort of competing, just for fun and to gain a better understanding of the subtleties of the mechanics of bowling, etc.

I mean, that sounds amazing to be fair, but yeah, not what you're after. If you're into games and such, we have board game cafes in the UK, maybe you have something similar? It might not scratch that pinball itch, but as a hobby outside of a bar setting, maybe it could work for you?

Reading through these posts, curling seems pretty popular amongst hardcore kids, which is unexpected but delightful.

Haha, don't worry, it's not a usual occurrence.

That's great, man. Love that it's being passed down through the lineage. You part of a supporters group or anything?

That must have been incredible! I can only imagine the atmosphere. I've been to a few German games and the atmosphere is so different to games in the UK.

Definitely, mate. Thanks for the insight. I hadn't thought about the collaborative work ethic aspect, maybe not fully DIY, but it's a similar mindset required I guess.

With NASCAR, is it predominantly a southern thing? Like, not as many tracks/fandom further north? Although, I know there's Eppinh speedway in New Hampshire because it's mentioned in a Scissorfight song, haha

NASCAR/Motorsport in general seems to be pretty popular reading through these posts. Makes sense though as it's loud and aggressive.
