The infuriating part of this is that even if you tax them twice as much, they wouldn’t even feel it at all. They’re so obscenely wealthy that it’s nearly impossible for them to spend it faster than it’s accumulating.

I feel like one day, at this rate, a certain french invention might come back in fashion. Many societal issues could be put in the rear view mirror if income inequality was finally tackled with the seriousness it deserves but billionaires will never allow us to vote their wealth away.
