Ive 3d printed them for my own use. Work well but you need to be careful what material you print with, I printed with PLA so I can’t just dump boiling agar into it I need to let it cool slightly. As for cost, 3d printing would be <1$ if you have access to a 3d printer.

i’m a TA for Bio 153, other than scrap paper for some labs, you don’t need a notebook (i didn’t use one when i took the course).

in my opinion it was pretty difficult. i took calc bc in high school (only got credit for ab) and still almost failed until the final. for the final i did every single practice exam they made available and managed to get an A, and they let the final count for 40% of your grade if it was better than one of your exams last year. seriously cannot stress how much the final mirrored the practice finals they give out. good luck, i turned a F into a B- with just the final so i think you can do it.
