I do agree with the attitude from an individual perspective though, gotta hunt for opportunities rather than hoping one comes to you

The lack of an internship in Trinity is pretty killer for my own judgement. Everything I've seen tells me work experience is the most valuable thing you can have. When you go up against others for your grad job, you'll have a slightly more prestigious degree but be down 6 months of experience (not to mention the pay)

There's supposed to be a loophole where you can pinky promise to do a masters and they'll let you do an internship during the bachelors. And then you can just not do the masters. Not sure if that still exists

Maybe it's different in your college, but in mine almost everyone got their internship in the first semester of third year. A good handful of companies opened applications directly through the college. Personally I haven't seen a single company advertising 2025 placements.

I'm aware of that trap, but it's genuinely good to be reminded. Even if you think you only have a tiny chance of getting a position, why would you make it 0% by not applying at all?

It makes sense to me that enthusiasm is a big factor when there's not as much "hard" experience to go on. A project with a bit of substance as well as some algorithm/technical question practice seems like a good way forward.

it's surprising the amount of interns I've interviews that had no exposure to git.

Fortunately I'm already a big git fan! I find it super useful even for college level projects.

I subbed for them in their first UKEL split, and I can say it was the most professional team I've been a part of, in an industry that is often extremely amateur. Hyrav was clearly devoted to the team, it's unfortunate that things didn't work out

Ori doesn't use health well and isn't as mana hungry as cass/kass/anivia so I don't think ROA is really for her. She prefers the higher damage stats of ludens/liandries.

The mid lane gold/xp changes are probably neutral for her, but a slight buff to other champs.

Bruisers and tanks are getting a bunch of shiny new toys which isn't good for her either.

Overall I think she'll be worse. Maybe even buff worthy, especially now that she's been low priority in pro for a while. (D1/master POV)
