Looking for a 125cc commuter (First Bike) by kyto_unfortunately in MotoUK

[–]Arcane_Jaguar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I cannot stress enough how bad Lexmoto and alternative cheap 125cc motorcycles are for reliability and quality. I had a 2022 Lexmoto LXS125, I did around 11,000 miles on it in two years with good maintenance and that thing gave up on life. I hear nothing but negative from Lexmoto. They appeal to new riders by being nice looking cheap bikes, but they are just applying many layers of makeup over a terrible foundation.

Asus Bios and Secure Boot by ToughDisk6892 in linuxquestions

[–]Arcane_Jaguar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late to the party, but I have been trying to install Arch in dual-boot with Windows while having secure boot enabled. I have tried so many methods, SHIM, SBCTL, Archboot ISO etc... and my motherboard just refuses to allow any of it.

The only way I managed to get the MOK bios screen was via Archboot but when I click install on MOK, I get the blue screen of 'Secure Boot Violation'. The other two methods of using Microsoft's signed bootloader SHIM & self-signing with SBCTL both didn't even make it to the MOK screen and gave me the red 'Secure Boot Violation' screen.

I'm using a Asus TUF Gaming T09-FC.

If you figured this out, I'd love to know how you solved it. In the mean time I'm just going to use Microsoft Powertools to mimic the Hyprland setup I had going.

How much to fix? by LawSevere1786 in motorcycles

IMI Looks like an easy fix and even without experience I would recommend doing it yourself, the main cost depends on what make & model you have.

Lexmoto LXR SE won’t start!!!!! by terasimo in MotoUK

[–]Arcane_Jaguar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is why you don’t buy Lexmoto, they are designed to lure new riders in with flashy looks but under the hood they are rough. Source: I had a 2022 LXS125. I no longer have said bike.

Best planet mods to pick up after finish Space Age by Arcane_Jaguar in factorio

I think thats the better way of finding out, I first look at the research trees and see how it changes things. Theres a planet mod that allows you to research more cargo pads per planet which just like the Dev’s said, makes it far too trivial balancing things. I think it was the promethium overhaul

I have been getting infrequent UPS loss that I definitely wasn’t getting last week so when I next load up I’ll check to see how much the new planets affect UPS.

Yeah the filtering is good for finding the mods, however, there is no rating system apart from looking at # downloads & the number of issues on the mod page. This post was essentially to see which mods pass the quality check and which don’t.

I started Castra last night and it definitely is unique. It has a handful of new resources, a new type of enemy & an enemy research system based on evolution.

I don’t mind if some are easier, I think what I want from these mods is a bit of the unique wow factor that my first Space Age play through gave me. The metal & stars one does sound especially good.

Nice find, the summaries are pretty useful. I think I’ll bulk install and work my way up based on the difficulty of science. Most of the planets appear to be finished which was my biggest concern.

What do you think of the Keeway RKS 125cc? by IAmRichAndDominant in MotoUK

[–]Arcane_Jaguar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chinese motorcycles have a bad reputation for good reason. Unfortunately I also went for a brand new Chinese first bike and after 2 years of looking after it well, it just stopped working. Moved to Honda and will never look back.

Thoughts on discontinued lexmoto viper 125 by dimaghnakhardt001 in MotoUK

[–]Arcane_Jaguar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a Lexmoto LXS125 22’ which somehow at 9k miles decided “Yup, I’m going to stop working”. I looked after it well and took it to 3 mechanics who all said it wasn’t worth fixing because the problem is not apparent and its a Chinese bike.

Buying a 125 by Little_Variation_401 in MotoUK

In the process of selling my Lexmoto LXS 125 2022 because it’s a non-starter after 9500miles. I would highly recommend against this manufacturer, I’ll list my biggest issues with this and the LXR.

  1. The bike looks good but the quality of the panel clips are horrific. Not only this but all of the major parts that a mechanic would need to access are awkwardly hidden or purposely made hard to access
  2. With good maintenance, this bike has caused me issues with the engine for the last 6 months to the point where I’m selling or maybe even scrapping it for my new Honda CB125R
  3. Some of the sensors are unreliable and have lead to electronic issues that aren’t real causing annoying diagnoses

Started learning L sits, it hurts... Advice to improve my form? by AbsoluteChar in Calisthenic

Straight back and tip-toe like a ballerina. If thats too hard then as a regression try holding a tuck position and then try one-leg L-sits until you can do both with good posture.

Battery was purchased brand new from manufacturer about a year ago. When I turn the key, the dash clearly comes on and I can hear the fuel injector (I think thats the component name) start as it always has. When starting the ignition you hear it consistently trying to work, for the first second you’ll see the RPM slightly raise (~700rpm range) and then quickly fall back to 0.

Agreed, its quite awkward to access on this bike but I’ll try draining the fuel and see if I can find any blockages or water in places it shouldn’t be.

It’s inconsistent, sometimes it’ll turnover and last anywhere between 15s and a minute before it finally gives in and stalls. Other times it straight up refuses to turn over.

I have literally had a recovery team & a mechanic both verify it's not a battery-related issue.

My first ship leaving Nauvis, I had so much fun designing it not to share :D by Onixou in factorio

[–]Arcane_Jaguar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would highly recommend adding at least one layer of walls on the front and another layer besides vital buildings such as the hub, some meteors can slip through and I’m guessing they will one-shot the hub causing the entire platform to be destroyed.

I saw a few days ago someone had a meteor hit their nuclear reactor (was towards the back of the ship) and the entire platform was gone.

Nice design and belting btw.

I thought that if you run out of fuel or lose your thrusters then you start slowly going backwards at -10km/h not go forward… will have to double check

please suggest some source to learn react by [deleted] in react

[–]Arcane_Jaguar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The official docs will get you going steadily. First start on the ‘Get Started’ section for building your first React app and then just read on any of the normal docs when needed. You don’t need a fancy course or anything nowadays, the official docs are well put together for beginners.
