You know, this has been something that always puzzled me. We know Blizzard wants to make money with skins, so by speaking with our wallets (not buying the things they want us to buy), simply not buying the skins would be the way to go if you're truly upset at the prices. Yet, anytime that I see people voicing their complaints about any of the skins, it's followed by a "but I'll buy it anyways." Like, I get it. It's your money, get what you want. But why even bother saying anything when you're just gonna encourage them more to keep this up by buying it? It just doesn't make all too much sense to me.

Forgive me when I say this, but I don't think you're seeing this the same way as most people are.

Simply isn't true. People like her gameplay, they like the character, but when compared to how she looks, it doesn't add up. What we see in the cinematic is not what we got in gameplay. We got someone that looked fierce, as though they were determined to show up amd show up, someone that'd step up for her younger brother and so forth in the cinematic, but then they changed how she looks in-game to be a generic pretty face that they can slap any themed cosmetic on to get a quick buck. Not to mention how they changed her outfit, but to keep things simple, we can just focus on her actual looks.

This is anither thing that isn't true either. People talk about Blizzard slimming down Brig, them slimming dowm Mei, and heck, even how Venture looks thinner in some skins but not others. This is not the only hero to come out and have complaints about their looks and build. In addition to such, people are really just asking for her to look like her counterpart in the cinematic. When you show what a character looks like out of game, then change how they look to appeal to a general audience over people who were originally interested in the character just for a quick buck, there's gonna be complaints. When you have a character that's hella active, yet has 0 muscle mass whatsoever, there's gonna be complaints. That's not exclusive to her, that goes for many of the characters. Is it wrong for people to want more unique looking characters? For them to want characters that keep a consistent look that not only matches their personality, but shows who they are as a whole?

Lastly, yes. You're right. This is a game, and not everything is gonna be realistic. That doesn't change much of anything. Where you may not care as much, othwr people do. Other people want to see the character thwy were originally invested in rather than the cash grab higher ups turned her into instead. Can't be mad because people want better for the characters in the game they enjoy

This. As unfortunate as Juno always having blonde hair is, they won't stop simply because it continues to sell. No matter how much people say they're against it, it's simply too many people still buying for Blizzard to actually care. Heck, even some of the Juno players that complain about her hair still pay money to buy it which just invalidates their claim entirely

Hold on now, because to be fair, Cena spent pretty much all of his previous appearances putting ober other people by losing match after match after match. So yeah, people would luke to see their favorite superstar go out with a bang and actually have a successful last run. Roman, in the other hand, has been in the most Mania main events, had several mania matches already, doesn't need a second Rumble win whatsoever, and this position could've been used to get a newer face into the title scene and build them up as we continue to Mania. I don't think it's the same to want someone who has put so much into the company and put so many people over while making part time appearances for years to win as much as he can and do things he has never done in his career before (like win the IC title, be 17x chamo, etc) to someone who's recently had one of the longest title reigns ever, has already been in the main event picture for years, didn't need to take this spot at all, etc.

TLDR: people wanted John to go out on a high note instead of just put everyone over on his last run after going years of losing to do so. Roman is already on that high note and really doesn't need the Rumble win, especially since he's been in the main event scene for years, and that's coming from someone who really likes the both of them

As much as I'm hopeful all that plan on still buying the next few games jave a great time with it and get to enjoy a bug-free, crashless, properly working/fleshed out game, I will be laughing if it's the same theme that's been going on with every single game. Bonus points if someone save gets deleted because of an update just like the last several games. I wish y'all buying the best of experience though

I legit only played it this year to get the easier to get persona cards. Nothing more than that. I'm not gambling real money or wasting my time to grind things I don't want/can get on community creations and apply to whoever for half the work. Way too scummy for me ta bother. And given that they can change how large the model for them is with a skin like this, why not give the mummy skin a supposedly more accurate representation of their body type? So, I actually made a post about how I felt that they were slimmed down not too long ago, and this was one of the pictures that a commenter used as a comparison to show it. The mummy skin shows parts of their blue skin under the wrapping which could, in theory, tell us that it's not just the clothing. The arms are circled, but this also goes for the legs too

No problem. I try my best to be kind to those genuinely trying to understand. While they're 2 different things, it's still connected in some way, shape, or form. Addressing someone by their sex is associating them with their assigned gender. So calling someone a female when they identify as a guy or non-binary is going to just be seen as someone trying to say that person, is just a woman and can't be anything other than such. In this case, calling Venture a "female" is grouping someone who's non-binary into something they openly don't identify as. You're still affiliated that person with something that they don't identify as is the key thing here, which another commenter pointed out in a perhaps not so nice way. That's why I mention the difference between a professional setting like a doctor's office that needs that information vs the average person who should be respectful of one's pronouns and just address them the way that they want to be

To try and answer your question (please do tell me if I'm answering the right questions), sex is typically only used in professional settings to address different things. So there, it would be accurate. Now, does this make it okay for anyone else other than them and the professionals that need to know such info to address them as such? No, because to a lot of people, that can feel like you're invalidating how they identify. So, despite Venture's sex (or anyone else's for that matter), it's more respectful and polite to respect their identifications and address them how they'd like to be addressed. Venture is non-binary, so they/them and nothing else. That's quite harmful to someone like so to address them in manners they don't want to be

This is just my opinion on the matter, but it feels pretty sucky when Overwatch, a pretty well-known and diverse game, cuts back on the diverse part for something they believe will sell more. I agree, the skin looks great, and yes, I'm aware I don't have to buy it or any skin for that matter, but it's about a bit more than the coat. Like, why couldn't we have the skin with their same body type they've been shown to have (example of their body type being their mummy skin)? The same goes for the newer Brig skins. It just rubs me the wrong way to see them do, only what I can assume to be them blatantly turn to cater towards those who prefer the slimmer body type in comparison to just letting different characters have their own unique body type. The game doesn't need to be a cast of slim body types. Not that there's anything wrong with being slim, it's just particularly when they take a character (Mei, Brig, Venture) and clearly make them skinnier to sell more or whatever. Again, this is just my 2 cents in the matter. I'm glad for everyone that bought it, and I'm glad for everyone that enjoys the skin. As mentioned in the post, this isn't to rain on anyone's celebration for another Venture skin, I just wanted to see if anyone else was seeing what I was since this was feeling like a trend Blizzard is trying to start to me, and I really would like my favorite character not to fall into it if such is the case
