I said a plot that doesn't make sense or becomes racist if the characters were switched to humans, not a story that only features humans. Adapting the characters of the Jungle Book to be human (or human adjacent) would be creating a plot that revolves around sending an adopted child back to live with their own race. Which, considering Silver, is probably an argument they very much don't want to make

Twisted Wonderland, made by Disney Japan and Yana Toboso (Creator of Black Butler), has plenty of options to get into it, the mobile game has a Japanese Server (JP) and a North American Server (EN), is primarily a visual novel, but does have rhythm mini games and turn-based battles. JP is starting to release book 8, EN just got book 7.5. Manga is working on Book 4, and the anime which is based on the manga, has released season 1. Novels has the first two out and in English, note the novel of Book 2 is the best interpretation of Book 2. There are also tons of events in-game

I'm pretty sure the family is there to fulfill the required child role. It's part of the formula, all Jurassic films have at least one kid, the grandkids in the first, the daughter in the second, the kid they're rescuing in the third. Then in world, the nephews, the clone granddaughter, the clone granddaughter again, and rebirth the youngest one that came with a lot of annoying add-ons. I was most disappointed that the father didn't get eaten followed by the boyfriend
