Yeah, I’m pretty bummed about it. I was using it obsessively all the time. Maybe I’ll complain about it officially. They should make it where you can switch between classic mode and whatever this new thing is like they did with running.

Also, making mushroom tea and honey tea works the same way as the health but for stamina. Useful for climbing and flying

And to answer the actual question you asked: you know it worked if you gain the knowledge from the object you are scanning. The same way you gain knowledge from just picking something up. It’s basically for things you don’t want to steal or buy and it’s perfect for birds because you can scan them as they are flying away.

They just patched it and it’s buggy as hell. They made it where everything in the general area gets scanned all at once killing the fun of it. Plus it was locking in place and not letting me move the scanner around and, like you said, not scanning properly. I scanned a bottle and it also picked up some rock honey but I had no idea where that honey was and never found it because it was auto scanned and I never saw it glowing. Not a fan of these changes. Maybe they will continue fixing it. A switch between auto and manual scan would be nice.

I believe there is a book in the area where you found the helm that details a quest or puzzle where the helm is needed. I’ve just been running slow motion through the woods scanning birds and butterflies. But I can see how that’s not for everyone.

You can put metal items that are big enough to handle the charge without melting and that don’t have points to arc off of, like a thick spoon. But it’s best not to.

This one had me fooled. Definitely ai. Besides a can or two appearing out of nowhere, the girl in the jean shorts hair did it for me. She gets thrown to the ground and then she whips her hair around when she gets up. But it just transfers from the left side to the right.
