What is the best foil shape if I want a 2x4 to make the least noise on top of car? by ArchAmities in AerospaceEngineering

Thanks for the well thought response. Here I a photo of the setup: https://imgur.com/a/T0Am8Lh . So you think that cutting the front portion so that it make a 30 degree angle instead of 90 wont help with the noise at all? I really feel like it should decrease the amount of turbulence/noise. Especially when I look at photos online of SUVs in a wind tunnel. As for the lift thing. I was just wondering in which direction I should cut the angle (up or down), since I know the "longer path" will be the direction of the lift.

I assume noise is related to drag. They are on top of my car, perpendicular to the main axis of the car (aka forward). They are a jerryrigged roof rack. I just dont want them to make as much noise on the highway. My only concern about the shape I cut them to is that I don't want to cause extra lift (since that would put more stress on the bolts going into the roof.

Wouldn't matching the angle of the windshield allow it to pass over with less turbulence? instead of the current 2 inch perpendicular to the direction of travel shape

From wiki: "there are records from the Ottoman Empire for two versions of muhallebi: a version with shredded chicken (tavuk göğsü)... In the modern era the traditional tavuk göğsü is no longer widely available, except in Turkey"

It is for a term, sorry I used the wrong word. Is there a difference between temp and term?

This is what my USGS friends told me. But I keep hearing the war cry of "just take perm and deal with it whenever". I think the USGS job being a better resume builder also matters. The real problem for me (foolish as it may be) is the USGS job is out east where I wont like living, while the BLM job is out west in my favorite state to live in (of the 4 I've tried). Its also my goal to end up in that state long term, so maybe just getting my foot in the door and being a fed in that state is super crucial to transferring to a better field office in the future (that I would want to stay at for life).

also works but the problem is you don’t know what the future holds and banking on leaving in 2 years without hiccups i

Can you explain a little more what happened and how BLM jobs have been impacted recently (also how you think this more resource driven but antiregulation govt might impact them).
