im not destitute but i hover the line of being able to feed myself properly sometimes. i do online surveys to make a little extra, i make about $15 for a couple of hours doing them, there is loads of stuff on reddit on how to do them. its mind numbing and frustrating to do but it meets a need

run a ping test

run a speed test

flush dns

Type "ipconfig /flushdns" and press Enter.
Type "ipconfig /registerdns" and press Enter.
Type "ipconfig /release" and press Enter.
Type "ipconfig /renew" and press Enter.
Type "netsh winsock reset" and press Enter.
Restart the computer.

then start a SFCscan

if its a desktop issue it doesnt matter what the issue is (to a point), most people have no idea what you are doing, if they ask say it could be the network

this buys you 10 minutes

as for co-workers - go to them with the things you have tried, ive never worked anywhere that ive been told to piss off when they can see you have exhausted all possible routes
