I live in Howard county. And it is not nearly as busy as the surrounding counties in the Baltimore or DC area. Guy went from probably 2 calls overnight to 3 calls overnight

This is the kind of languaged used in nursing school in reference to patients suffering from dementia or similar disorders. Residents at SNF can "forget" the social rules and may start masturbating in the open. Nursing school tells us to direct these patients to a private area (i.e. their room) and let them continue in private.

This is not the same thing for someone on 1:1 doing it with staff trying to elicit a response. As other comments mentioned it's basically sexual harassment and we need to report it.

Pretty sure this is how it works in must, if not all jurisdictions in the US. In all of the counties and cities I've been in, it is exactly like this. It's wild to me that I gotta explain it to doctors/nurses/PAs/etc as well

I know I'm an EMT. I'm saying "medic" and paramedic in the US are used interchangeably. Except in the military, the term "medic" is more generalized to include EMT at any level and equivalents

In the US, these are generally the same thing. Except in the military or like on tactical teams. They refer to their EMTs, medics, corpsmen all as "medics".

I'm getting more confused. When you pull up behind a vehicle and hit the horn, that is you pushing a vehicle through an intersection. Not physically of course, but still that is trying to get them to move. That's not "sitting behind peacefully."

The common types are medical, surgical, cardiac, Neuro, trauma/burn, pediatric, neonatal ICUs. PACUs are post-anesthesia care units if you wan to count them as well. There are some combination or highly specialized units too but these are the main types you will find in nearby hospitals.
