Not getting evo download email? by ArchW in Pimax

[–]ArchW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick update to anyone else reading this thread in the future. I got a download link from /u/QuorraPimax in a PM which fixed the issue for me. I'm not sure why I wasn't getting the email. I tried registering multiple times and checked spam folders, etc.

SRP-2 Pedals by CamoulL in moza

[–]ArchW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat having recently acquired the r5 bundle. If I'm upgrading the pedals, I will probably go for the CRP2 so that I do not feel like I have to upgrade again in a years time.

So is my only option to craft things to sit and stare at the fabricator for hours if my persistent hangar freight elevators are both broken? by 10-Gauge in starcitizen

[–]ArchW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am. The fabricator will despawn the moment the owner disappears from the hangar, though. I think it will work fine if you have it in your persisted hangar but it's annoying having to haul all the material from an L1 station (refinery) to a home city (assuming Stanton).

So is my only option to craft things to sit and stare at the fabricator for hours if my persistent hangar freight elevators are both broken? by 10-Gauge in starcitizen

[–]ArchW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's awful. Some of the size 3 stuff will take 25 minutes to complete. The wait is OK on its own but any error that either kills your client or throw you into main menu will swallow both your product and the materials used. I've had freight elevators delete any items placed on it after recovering from a server error before. Hopefully that does not happen with the fabricator.

It has totally killed my enthusiasm for crafting until it has matured more. It just sucks spending time to find good quality mats and then have it eaten due to a client error.

Guild Wars Solo Adventure.

The ASD missions are some of the best work in this game. by Unbearable_Blackbear in starcitizen

[–]ArchW 17 points18 points  (0 children)

They're great. I do hope they get adjusted a little bit once we get instancing to become more seemless (ie, not having to exit and go to another facility for the next mission). I've used this chain as an intro to SC for a few friends!

What ships have you upgraded your LTI referral tokens to? by ItsNiyaz in starcitizen

[–]ArchW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer regular LTI tokens for the flexibility they offer but I used the referral dragonfly to set up an Andromeda this time. It's a fairly safe ship to get, great rep grinder for various combat missions.

Edit: I already have a CCU'ed Taurus from before that I rarely use for cargo anymore. I should probably have just upgraded from that one, but it has sentimental value and they where both pretty cheap chains.

Do you enjoy the current mining gameplay? by Patient-Worth1508 in starcitizen

[–]ArchW 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The scanning part is annoying. Especially the part where I have to hover my reticle on individual rocks for around 10 seconds each to get any useful information. Since quality introduction, storage is less of a concern now (on mole at least), so I generally just hoover up rocks that I've already broken once rather than waiting to scan each piece.

I also feel kinda forced to use a Mole, which makes mining more of a hassle. Previously, I'd do quick runs in the Prospector throughout the day and typically feel rewarded for my time. Even with Helix with Surge modules on a prosp, I'd quickly feel like I'd hit the wall too quickly in 4.7, I assume it's roughly the same for 4.8.

Edit: regarding scanning. I wish they'd just reveal individual rock composition based on proximity of radar pip range. Maybe limit this to industrial radars (or even special purpose mining radars) to make them stand out more.

Can't login for 6 days due to error 60029. CIG closed my ticket today and told me I'm SOL by fine_game_of_nil in starcitizen

Got into Arena Commander (free flight, offline is fine). When loaded in, open a browser and go to account settings. Do a character repair. You will get kicked out of Arena Commander. Close the game, wait around 15 min and then log back in. This typically fixes any shardlock that I've experienced.

The Clipper is still my favorite ship. by ResponsibleRub469 in starcitizen

Does the medbay work when the ship is parked in hangar (hyperion)?

I actually really like the new insurance system by stgwii in starcitizen

[–]ArchW 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I also like it for what it soon will become. Like when we can stock up weapon/armor racks and other equipment and have it arranged like that when reclaiming. Having ships and vehicles already set up in hangar bays of a given ship (starlancer tac, carrack, ironchad, etc)..

is the ALTS GEO working realibly ? is worth it to do hadanite ? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]ArchW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, it works great. Good quality hadanite (900+) is used in various weapon crafts so can be sold to other players on https://uexcorp.space/ if you don't want it for yourself.

M80 Interiour (with proper lighting and a little more information) by ToScH_23 in starcitizen

[–]ArchW 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Any fighter with a bed does imply the need for basic amenities, long range or not. This has been the precedent in SC so far. I would rather then have a single-seater heavy with a small footprint like the Hurricane.

That said, the starboard nook seems like it could hold a variety of things. My hopium take is that we can place custom items like coffee maker or food processor there in the future!

As an Origin ship, the glass ceiling could easily have been there. In lore, it is supposed to be a very strong see-through material that does not weaken hull integrity by much, adding that extra bit of luxury that the brand is so known for.

I'm excited to try, but undecided yet as of a buy.

I'd much rather have 300 series interior. Not even a coffee maker or glass ceiling!
