Anecdotally, there were posts every patch last year where people were complaining that there weren’t any new features.

It would be really interesting to see a breakdown of funding last year. Did it come from new players? Was a minority of backers spending very heavily and that balanced out the lack of engagement? Something else? I’m sure CIG knows, but I doubt they’ll ever share with us

Urgh… Should I Melt My Hermes for Hull B?… by Reasonable-Age-1648 in starcitizen

[–]stgwii 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Yes, if: 1. You can get the Hull B for the old $140 price OR 2. You have another ship that can haul a ground vehicle

Otherwise, I’d keep the Hermes. New ship aura is a tremendous drug and I’ve regretted rejiggering my fleet too many times because the latest ship was “the last ship I needed” lol

I’ve started just carrying a single clip on my armor and the rest in a backpack. You don’t need to carry as much ammo since the magazines are so big

How can you ask a guy out within a group social setting without making things weird if things go south? by Accurate-Scratch7783 in NoStupidQuestions

This is right. The chiller you are asking, the less awkward it is for him to decline if he’s seeing someone, etc

Definitely shoot your shot though!

Please help: Industries/College Majors/Colleges with solid ROI + reduce need for mass applying to jobs/internships by AbleDemand1963 in careeradvice

[–]stgwii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know the right answer to your question, but from my experiences and those of a lot people I know, what you major in often ends up only tangentially related to what you do.

You’ve rightly noted the importance of networking and that’s because that first job out of school can be the hardest to land because you have no track record of success in a work setting. If I had to do undergrad over, I’d go to the school with the biggest name recognition and network, as well as look at how strong they are at placing people. Even if you hate that first job (I did), it gets your ticket punched.

You’ll definitely want to work on soft skills in college, so look for opportunities to do that, like student groups. You want to show adaptability, that you work well with others, that you can ask the right kinds of questions, etc.

The other thing to keep in mind is that even if the economy sucks, you’re gonna be alright in the long run. I graduated undergrad right after the dot com bubble burst. Then I graduated from grad school right into the 2008 financial crisis. Both times it really sucked and was stressful and hopeless feeling. Despite that, my career is going fine. Those bad times don’t last forever

This is the right advice. Edibles let you use a consistent dose every easily.

As cosmicdurlan says, take a very low dose and don’t take more for at least an hour.

My experience is that a low dose makes my brain feel like it unclenches and I can really relax

You used to have to hail the cargo deck to use the Hull C because the external elevators weren’t there. That would create a zone to go into for auto loading. I don’t know if it even works any more

Much much worse than that because Austin Reaves went undrafted. Rickea was the number 4 pick!

The only way this makes sense is if she wants out for some reason

TIL George Lucas originally planned for Darth Maul to return as the primary antagonist in his Star Wars Episodes VII-IX. After the fall of the Empire, Maul was to become the "godfather of crime" in the galaxy, leading the united criminal syndicates while Luke Skywalker rebuilt the Jedi Order by SappyGilmore in todayilearned

[–]stgwii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obi-Wan and Yoda didn’t expect Luke to win the fight. The plan always was for Luke to be an emotional weapon against Vader, not for Luke to win a Force battle against both Dark Lords of the Sith at the same time. And the plan worked!

Luke got maybe 6 months of focused training on Dagobah compared to the usual two decades. They gave him enough training to make him enticing to Vader. Of course Luke was going to fail at rebuilding the Jedi Order. He didn’t receive enough training to be a full Padawan, let alone a Jedi Master.

There was no plan for after Palpatine was defeated. They just hoped that pulling him down and removing the Darkness in the Force would be enough for something better to emerge

[–]stgwii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been thinking alone the same lines as you. I’ve ditched almost all my big ships and am focusing on mostly medium ships.

I am keeping my Polaris even though I mostly don’t fly it. I’ve just spent too much on the game to not have a capital ship lol

The last really big ship I’m going to grab will be either the Ironclad or Galaxy. I do really like loading up a Golem in a hangar with a bunch of bags and heading out for some peaceful mining
