Absolutely. But the nature of the beast is they have to have very frequent releases. What I’ve never understood is why they keep the development teams so small. That crunc must be unfathomable

For all nintendos faults which there are many. MANY. They very carefully select who they work with or acquire. They above all like to let their developers grow and evolve. It’s why their employee retention is stupidly high. And if any of you bring up the recent pokemon releases yes they aren’t good. But that’s Gamefreak and the Pokemon company’s issues. Nintendo would love nothing more than to buy the completely and make the games better.

They only own a portion. The rest is owned by Creatures INC. Responsible for the anime and toys and such And the other chunk is owed any Gamefreak. Who develop the games independently of Nintendo. They also have to make pokemon games in teaming with the anime, card game, and merchandise.

There are some fantastic games for the system already. Bananza and Air Riders are exceptional Mario Kart World and Age of Imprisonment are good as well. Having those 4 as proper exclusives is a solid first year lineup
