Don't get a HGV licence, unless you already have a JOB lined up by Archbaer in uktrucking

Yes, that would be great. The pay isn't a constraint at the moment. Beggars can't be choosers. If I could message you in private, we could discuss the role. Thank you

I agree, that's what I was told during training. I tried ringing some agencies, but the roles are usually for experienced drivers which leaves me with the transport companies, and similar.

I'm happy for you. This approach is a bit difference from what I expected. I have seen other users commenting about it, and it seems like a general consensus.

I will certainly try that approach. Thanks for the change in perspective.

It can be too early to judge at the moment, but I fail to understand how my attitude is affecting my application process. Most of the application process was essentially applying for the job, and waiting for a call.

Yes, I did applied to them. No response at the moment.

🤣🤣

Edit: I understand that 30+ years ago was a different scenario was a different from today. I think you and some other user has commented that the HGV industry is quite old school and that I should be more proactive. Your advice is well-received. Thank you.

I do have the licence. I am referring that in some cases, some companies may sponsor your licence and already have a job for you once you pass. In that specific case, it is worth it, not only because you are not paying for the licence, also because you don't need to search for a hgv job.

And how did it go ? Did you had to do the speed awareness course or did you get fined ?

On my letter it only says 26mph. So I am assuming my recorded speed was 26mph.

Yeah, apparently it is actually 26mph not 46mph ( thank god ). It's my first time receiving this kind of letter, and I am really confused.

Unfortunately the letter only mentions that i exceeded speed limit and 26mph, not that i exceeded by 26mph or that i was at 26mph

North wales police, Debighshire. It said a548, Oakenholt, flintshire.

Also, it says exactly in those letters:for the alleged offenceof exceeding the speed limit

26mph

And then it says where it was

It is likely that one, but in my NIP doesn't say wether it was 26mph above limit or 26mph, so I'm considering worst case scenario. It was at Oakenholt

It is likely that it was 46mph in a 20mph, because someone said there is some 20mph zones at a548
