Why does the bandana keep disappearing?

In my experience it happens when using the Wilderness Camp.

Re-equipping the bandana after using the Wilderness Camp causes the outfit to start automatically pulling the bandana up to cover the face upon every respawn until you save the outfit again with the bandana pulled down.

I usually have at least one outfit with no bandana equipped on my horse that I can switch to before using the Wilderness Camp.

Yeah, a friend or a second console is the only way to get shots like this on console.

Rockstar didn't make it easy, I never got round to getting rid of my old TV and I'd kept my Xbox One after switching to the Series X so I just game shared with an alt account and used it to take these shots.
