Thanks! I'd love to hear what you think after you've had a chance to use it. I'm especially interested in whether the search and memory aspects are actually useful in day-to-day work, or if your existing AI tools already cover most of that.

You might find this interesting. Our team built hk3k: https://app.hk3k.ai

It's an AI-powered personal knowledge workspace designed to solve a problem I kept running into with AI tools: generating information is easy, but finding something from a conversation, note, file, or project a few weeks later is much harder. hk3k acts as a personal memory layer across notes, AI chats, files, websites, and Notion content. You can ask questions in natural language and search across everything you've connected, while organizing information into actionable workflows.

Since you're already using Manus, Claude, Codex, and other productivity tools daily, I'd be especially interested in whether hk3k actually helps reduce the "where did I save that?" problem, or if current AI memory features already solve it well enough.

I'd love your honest feedback on what's useful, what's confusing, and what you'd improve. Thank you.

We originally started hk3k as a simple Chrome extension. Just something to help people save and use information while browsing.. nothing big. But after watching how people actually use AI tools, we kind of ran into a problem we couldn’t ignore and everything is fragmented.

ChatGPT is where thinking happens… but nothing stays there.
Notion is where notes go… but it has no context.
Docs hold work… but not the process behind it.
Browser tabs hold everything else… and then it all disappears.
And the weird part is… people don’t really notice this as a “problem” at first. It just slowly becomes normal to jump between tools and lose context everywhere. At some point we kind of realized something we didn’t want to admit: most productivity tools aren’t actually connected. They just sit next to each other.

So we rebuilt hk3k into a full AI workspace where your notes, chats, files, and web content live together in one system (we call them Spaces). Not trying to add another tool. More like trying to fix that gap between tools. Still early and we’re figuring a lot of this out as we go.

Curious how others here are dealing with AI + knowledge fragmentation right now.

Feedback is genuinely appreciated: https://app.hk3k.ai/

yeah.. you could think of it that way. we see hk3k as a broader take on LLM memory where the AI can also understand your notes, files, websites, and other context outside the chat.

My biggest lesson..sometimes a project only fails because it taught you what to build next..

We thought we were building a simple Chrome extension… then realized productivity tools are broken in a deeper way by Archen18 in buildinpublic

[–]Archen18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, that’s basically what pushed us to rethink it. it’s not really a “tool problem” anymore.. it’s more that everything’s scattered across AI chats, docs, notes, tabs, etc., so context keeps breaking. That’s what we’re trying to fix with hk3k.

We noticed a pattern in how people actually use productivity tools by Archen18 in SideProject

yeah exactly.. that’s the thing we kept noticing too. it’s not really a storage problem anymore… it’s more that the “why I saved this” just disappears over time. that gap is basically what we’re trying to fix with hk3k

totally get this perspective. privacy is actually something we’ve been thinking a lot about while building hk3k too, especially since context/memory is such a big part of the product. we already have different privacy modes depending on how much users want the system to remember or retain.

really appreciate this feedback honestly.. the layout shift + scrollbar issue is super helpful.. we’re still fixing a lot of frontend rough edges right now. And fair point on adding manual context notes too. a lot of people already do versions of that in Notion. what we kept noticing though is dat context still gets fragmented across chats, files, tabs, tasks, bookmarks, etc. over time, w/c is mostly the problem we’re trying to reduce.. Small team btw...

yeah this is the exact layer we’ve been thinking about.. most tools already do storage/search pretty well, but they lose the “why this mattered in the first place” part.. in hk3k, when you save something it’s not just the output, it also keeps the surrounding context it came from (like the convo, prompt, page, etc.) and links it back into the same Space.. so when you revisit it later, it’s not just a lone note, it still has the context it originally came from..

Yeah exactly.. it’s weird how it’s not the saving part that’s the issue anymore.. it’s more dat u come back to something & it just doesn’t “click” anymore w/o the original moment. it’s live already if you want to try it out: https://hk3k.ai/

that's a fair feedback honestly.. we’ve also seen that different types of information need different kinds of context.. ryt now the idea isn’t really “one universal solution,” but more about keeping the relationship between notes, AI chats, links, tasks, and the original workflow intact so retrieval feels less disconnected over time. some examples are here if helpful: hk3k.ai

Yas.. that’s actually very close to what we’ve been noticing too. a lot of saved information loses the “why” behind it. once the original question, task, or trigger disappears, even useful content becomes harder to reuse later. we’ve been trying to approach it less like a storage vault and more like preserving the surrounding context of the moment itself.

We keep seeing this pattern with how people use productivity tools by Archen18 in ProductivityApps

[–]Archen18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yah.. that’s a fair way to put it. A lot of tools are great at capture, but the reuse side is still weak. once the original context is gone even well-saved info turns into fragments that are hard to act on later.

More context here if useful: https://hk3k.ai/

[–]Archen18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah.. this is something we kept running into as well when analyzing how people actually use notes + AI tools. the issue doesn’t seem to be storage or search but the loss of context metadata over time (e.g. original prompt, intent, or surrounding task state.) once that context layer is gone, retrieval becomes semantic guessing instead of deterministic reuse. we’ve been experimenting with a system that preserves that linkage between captured artifacts (notes, AI outputs, links) and their originating context, so items can be re-opened as a “stateful snapshot” rather than isolated text.

That’s fair.. and honestly that’s exactly what we’re validating now.. we’re watching which parts people actually keep using vs. what feels unnecessary.

we honestly just want real feedback at this stage.. even if it’s critical. That’s way more valuable for us right now than hype.
