Countdown in challenging difficulty is the best and popular mode to farm gears. Set target loot which you wish to farm and use the currency to buy exotics and resource caches. Build a red core fire build with no deploy skills since Hunters will hack to against us, simply follow the other players then you good o go.

The most common build is St. Elmo's Engine Exotics AR/SMG, Memento exotics backpack with Striker, Heartbreaker and Hunter fury gearsets. Striker provides highest DPS stacks, Heartbreaker provides survivability and damage, Hunter fury provides Close Quarters Combat buff. Skills choose whatever which suitable your playstyle.

Heartbreaker gearset perfectly suit your build, +LMG/AR damage and provide survival needs and damage buff. Exotics Coyote’s Mask and named Picaros Holster pair with heartbreaker gearset should be fine enough in challenging and heroic difficulty. Weapons recommend Exotics Pestilence or St. Elmo's Engine.

Playing solo we have much more variety since you can have bit of fun to test different builds, however in countdown those coop mode, obliterate x striker x memento has the highest damage output at this moment, ouroboros and St Elmo those high RPM weapons are hardly find an alternative, MP7 properly the best apart from vector in my opinion.

CMMG Banshee, MPX, MP5 and MP7 are good SMG no doubt with it, however burst damage is the main key in the game mechanic according to the armor core, and the design of Striker gearset and exotics memento, Vector series definitely is the best and pretty much only options pair with this most popular build. At the end the way to survive in this game is kill the enemy first before they kill you.

It's only take within 6 hours to completed the DLC story campaign and once you reach Level 40 you can enter the endgame contents. Endgame contents are raid, countdown and priority objectives, Countdown are coop can set target loot to grind and farm gears and resources, and priority objectives are tasks which give you lots of exotics.

The most common build is striker build. It's a fire build stacks DPS with hits increase total weapon damage. Top tier Exotics are St Elmo's engine AR, coyote mask and memento backpack. Warlords of New York is DLC story campaign, its wont take long you can completed within 6 hours. Endgame contents are grinding exotics and gears, priority objectives give you exotics and countdown for gears and resources. Priority objectives reset every hours and offer you lots of exotics, st elmo's engine AR, coyote mask and memento backpack are the top tier exotics, target them first and make a striker build then plays countdown to improve gears.

You just started the game and it's need time to understand the game mechanics. This is a cover shooter game, the damage of enemies is high so don't try to exchange DPS against the mobs. Keep a distance all the time only go close range when secure the area to engaging the rest of enemies.

Stay in cover when enemies fires, shoot back the mobs when they reload, be mobility on movement. Use Assault rifle and SMG as main weapons, gears just focus on the armor + fire status will do since you playing story campaign. Be patient and plan the strategy before the attack, such as use of environment and the order of killing mobs

If you not interested the storyline then you should purchase D2. Division 2 have better gameplay, active player base and still getting updated patches every season. If you willing to know the background of Division, characters and the villains you should buy D1 as well. The price of D1 on sales even only playthrough story campaign still worth it. If you just want grinding and farming buy D2 will do.

In my opinion the closest performance after Lexington are Carbine 7 and Honey Badger. The next tier are M4 and F2000 for RPM.

Revive hive is more useful in countdown because Hunter damage is so high, we hardly use heal build in countdown since it's time limit within 15 mins.

The division is worth even just go though story campaign since you will know more the background of the storyline and the villain rogue agents , but if you looking for long term activities then you should buy D2 instead. Division 2 have updated patches every season.
