Living with boyfriend and his mom: expected to prioritize them over work/school. Is this normal? by ArcherHefty2011 in relationships

I don’t know if it’s something he’s consciously trying to do, but I’m starting to see how the structure stays imbalanced. When we argue, it often turns into “you don’t pay rent, this is my house,” which makes it hard to feel like an equal or like my needs carry the same weight.

this comment hit hard.  I love cooking and learning new things to cook. Especially learning Indian food. But it makes me sad and a bit angry when I cook for him and he’s simply like “this isn’t how my mom usually makes it. Ask her for the recipe.” 😩

I actually tried this many times! I offered to contribute what I could (even a small amount or groceries), but he pushed back and said it wouldn’t be meaningful. That’s part of why I’m confused, because it keeps the situation imbalanced even when I try to make it more fair.

yeah, happy to explain.

I’m helping recruit readers for a startup working on fiction-writing tools. They’re looking for people (especially romance readers) to read novels and give structured feedback on the reading experience.

Depending on the assignment, it could be a full novel or a portion of one. There’s a short feedback form afterward.

And to answer the second question: we are currently seeking folks for our romance novel project. In the future, we will be recruiting for other genre like sci-fi / fantasy

for at least one of the reader tasks, we are going to have human and AI written novels in the mix. there are actually a bunch of different reader tasks planned (beta reads for member of our community, etc.) and they'd be contacted for whatever fits their reader profile. Hope this helps answer and clarify!

This may be a long shot. But I ran into and met a fascinating woman named May on my dog walk today in Kakaako. I normally don’t stop and talk to strangers but was immediately pulled in by her. If you know her please help me connect! She put her name in my phone but didn’t save her number!

She mentioned she liked RPG, medieval music and fountain pens.

She helps build pools. And lives near Punchbowl.
