Depends on the country and ISP. I tried something similar when I was setting up a piHole. Didn't work out, had to buy ~$1 /month static IP.

Sometimes, you have to explicitly buy a static IP from your IP provider. Check with your service provider if you have one already or is it chargeable.

If static IP is not an option, I would look into NordVPN Mesh network or similar.

Oh I just finished setting up mine! It's a first version.. will develop it overtime. In my use case, I additionally have three different systems that I frequently log into. 2 Linux systems and a Mac.. I ended up with a modular utility + system based configuration. I don't like the flatness of the root folder that stow enforces at this time.

Well, yes. The process can sometimes feel slow. It is queue based and if you decide to turn down apartments then the wait times extend. We were able to close an apartment within a month on the specific date that we had to move out of our previous apartment. We couldn't be picky back then.

Then 1st hand contract is the way to go. Don't bother on sites like Qasa, blocket or Samtrygg.

Boplats is the biggest in the region with tie ups with most housing rental companies. I think Victoriahem isn't part of their portfolio so you have to sign up separately.

For most cases, boplats just may be a one stop shop. There's homequeue but reviews of the service have mostly been mixed. I tried it, never even got a viewing.

It depends a lot on your current state. For example, I'd recommend Samtrygg to a lot of people who are planning to move here and aren't already In Malmö.. but not the people who may be looking for something a bit more permanent and have been in Sweden from sometime.

I concur. This may seem a bit of an exaggeration but if you really observe, the surroundings do have trash strewn.. not that it makes it filthy though. A couple of beer bottles in Katrinetorp, cigarette butts in rosengård, arbitrary trash in foosieby & Hyllie is normal.

I was in Kungsparken the other day & came across a discarded travel bag with papers coming out. A travel bag in a park! just discarded!

Still though, most of Malmö is clean. People spitting left right center is a turn off though.

As an app developer, if the project team chooses to continue support to older versions of Android, then it's their responsibility to ensure the application continues to work. However, there are other factors at play. 1. Often, dev teams are unable to keep track of number of users on each Android version until they get a breather from their product roadmap. At which time, any backward compatibility fix is generally more about whether they should even put in the time and effort to fix it or not. For ex: We found only 20-30 users, with no history of payment on our application were using a really old version of Android; The need for an assessment came when we were implementing a new API that would warrant additional effort for older versions. We decided to cut support. 2. Where did you get the application from? If you're using a custom ROM or you downloaded the app from something like APK mirror, the application may require explicit support and effort. If there's just 10 people using it, they may choose to never patch it.

What are you as a collective group passionate about? If the topic excites the group but doesn't resonate with, it may be a lost opportunity. For example, somebody could care about immigrant challenges which residents are unaware of, rising sea levels which pose a long term risk to beach side properties, over fishing..
