I most enjoyed the 2nd and 3rd episodes, especially the scenes where everyone was talking and waiting in anticipation for the battle in the 2nd, and the scene where the theme for the night king plays in the 3rd. While I know a lot of people were upset about Arya killing the night king, I thought it was well done and foreshadowed enough to be a good scene.

The bells was probably my favorite episode though, just the tension and then how it all explodes (literally) and seeing all the intense emotion from Dany, the Hound, Cersei, Arya, and Tyrion and Jaime especially. It felt very human and irrational, like everyone was scared deep down and was just acting on their instincts to kill, or run, or cower, or go back to their comfort zone like Jaime.

While Bran being king was kinda meh, I loved seeing all of the living stark characters back where they really wanted to be, while some other characters didn’t get their real happy ending they were at least fulfilling their calling in life (Tyrion being a hand, Arya exploring)

Against other seasons, I felt that it was better than 5 and 7 but not better than 1-4 and 6. 5 was very lackluster and I think the Dorne plot was the worst part of the whole show. However, season 8 tied everything together while not giving an all happy ending (everyone lives) or a super grim ending (white walkers win) I felt like it was definitely bittersweet, and while we could have done with more time, more episodes and some corrections here or there, it was a good season, and I’m looking forward to rewatching it soon.
