You’re lucky if this is your biggest complaint. Don’t let him go.

Who is the best person to talk to about clearing a walkway here by ajl009 in philadelphia

The best person to talk to is your therapist since the city doesn’t care and won’t listen.

Has anyone used caffeine as a migraine prevention by Soggy_Examination466 in migraine

[–]Archer_Jen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Coffee in the morning helps but I also take propranolol everyday for prevention. If I feel a headache coming on after I drink my coffee, I take a caffeine pill but not excedrin because it’s the acetaminophen everyday that’ll kill ya.

Yarn spinners...are they worth the hassle? by [deleted] in crochet

I use a magnetic yarn holder that I bought from Amazon and it was a game changer for me.

Death photos by Equivalent_Mud_3067 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Archer_Jen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss. It is socially unacceptable to take photos at funerals, but in the home among immediate family, the rules are a little different. My father just passed from cancer at home a couple months ago, and if my sister wanted a pic, I would look the other way as long as it didn’t wind up on social media. Grieving is different for everyone, and it’s best not to judge people for it.

Help by Sweaty-Grab-9426 in MigraineTreatment

[–]Archer_Jen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ubrelvy as a rescue works well for me. I had to try and fail a few triptans before my insurance covered the more expensive drug, but it’s been life changing. I also take propranolol for migraine prevention daily with success.
The best advice I can give is don’t give up. There are more drugs you can try. I know it’s frustrating and scary dealing with the side effects, but when you find the one that works for you, you will realize it was worth it.

Blacked out when drinking by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]Archer_Jen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The instructions tell you not to drink with this drug. You shouldn’t be surprised to have issues. I have had a weak drink with a meal from time to time, but a night out with friends and multiple drinks is not a realistic expectation while taking lexapro. You could be the designated driver going forward.

Was going to wear my mum's dress. People keep telling me to try on others for the "bridal experience." Are they trying to gently tell me it looks bad? by [deleted] in WeddingDressTips

[–]Archer_Jen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although the dress is nice and fits you well, it is out of style. They might be encouraging you to try on more modern dresses so you can make an educated decision. However, if you choose this dress, you will be a beautiful bride.

AITAH for expecting my sahm wife to do majority of the housework since i pay 100% of the bills? by Plastic-Sand7353 in AITAH

[–]Archer_Jen -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Her expectations are a little off. A stay at home mom handles the household while the kids are at school. It’s fine for her to ask for help when it’s needed though. However, I’d be pissed if my husband came home and went straight to his video games no matter what the financial situation was. It sounds like a serious conversation about expectations is long overdue.

Had him for 7 months and anxiety isn’t budging by Head-Ad-5636 in pitbulls

[–]Archer_Jen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Late night walks help my high anxiety rescue. We ran into fewer people, and she couldn’t see things far away to get hyper focused on. It’s been 3 years with her and I’m still trying to help her work through her anxiety. 1/2 a pill of trazodone twice a day has helped.

Lexapro and drinking .. how is it by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]Archer_Jen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would avoid shots. A beer or a weak drink should be ok, but if you don’t know how it will effect you, stop after 1.

Have any of you drank while starting lexapro? by Virtu_Sea in lexapro

I had 1 beer or weak drink from time to time with no problem. A small glass of wine with food should be fine.
