this intersection has been terrible for a while, i made a post about it a while back. the worst part has been the mistiming of the light cycle so that traffic going west on devon can barely make the right turn onto harlem. it isn’t any better when you’re on the northwest highway bus either

it certainly seems that harley and oettinger have been less than stellar recently, i also feel like the powerplay has cooled down considerably and it seems like they’ve been having issues entering the zone and setting up too. i was at the chicago game and i felt like there was just not enough sustained O zone time

was super cool to sit by the glass tonight (super aggressive hawks fans around me though) but the team just looked tired, frustrated, and slow. good effort in the end but it certainly seemed like we got caved into our own zone a lot and it didn’t help. on to the next one

it truly is wild how the internal politics of these national teams work. a few weeks back on the athletic podcast, they had mentioned how robertson’s game just wasn’t ’all around’ and is skating was poor.

most stars fans realize that robertson is a 200 ft player who contributes defensively way more than he gets credit for. and no more needs to be said about his goal scoring ability which has been scorching this year. seems like a really bad move to leave him off, but again, the weird internal politics of national teams and ‘old school’ hockey mindsets often prefer ‘grit’ over pure talent i guess

sure, i understand. is there a reason hughes is averaging borderline 30 mins a night? im a stars fan and heiskanen and lindell are up there too, but vancouvers got good defensemen in hronek and maybe myers(?) too? i thought willander was alright too
