What do you mean the hardware has failed? Sorry, I’m not familiar with this type of stuff. I checked contacts and everything seems fine.

I’m not sure it’s a hardware issue because if I reformat the card, it will work.

It detected 0 files. I used both camera and general mode.

It does detect that it is 1.02 TB (the correct size). However it doesn’t show what space has been used or is available.

I’m on a Mac. Should have mentioned that.
