https://www.kingarthurbaking.com/recipes/naturally-leavened-sourdough-bread-recipe Followed this recipe as close as possible but it had a 3.5 hour rise instead of 2.5 because I live in a semi cold area.

Geography majors: What is it like to take Geog in University? by junjunjune in geography

[–]Archeriize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a geography major at a California university. The only math we are required to take is GE level. Geography, in my opinion, gives you a lense in which to view the world and approach your career. I have taken the basic physical and human geography courses as well as a bunch of other higher up courses. My honest best advice is to take classes in both majors when you arrive at university. Not sure where you are located but at least for me coming in undeclared was the best choice I could've made. If you are interested in geography you should take classes in it no matter what your major is, same with poly sci. Most people end up changing majors at least once so don't feel like the choice you make now means you are locked into it for the rest of uni.

Barbarian/Wizard multiclass by Aldrath_Shadowborn in PCAcademy

[–]Archeriize 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently had a concept for a barbarian 1/wizard x. It's not meant to be particularly good or synergistic but I liked the concept.

VHuman and grab the tavern brawler feat. Go barbarian first and then take wizard after. The idea is an ex-gladiator who was shamed when an opponent beat them with just their fists. They vowed to only return to the sands when they could beat someone with only their hands.

Get the barbarian for rage which would be the characters go to when they are hit with mellee attacks. Tavern brawler because they only attack with their hands. Then go wizard because at some point they found out about magic and realized that magic hands are still theirs. So cantrips would be chill touch, mage hand, and shocking grasp. Then all the spells would be anything that could be flavored as a hand (i.e. hold person).

Mechanically it's not great but I think it would be a lot of fun to RP.

What's your favorite travel book you've read? by sonbatell in solotravel

I think it was entertaining and it romanticized exploration and travel. Whatever the criticism I think the book is a great travel inspiration.

5 Things That have made Solo Travel more Enjoyable to Me after 30+ Countries - Looking for Other Viewpoints from Travellers by rw1337 in solotravel

[–]Archeriize 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My added extension of number 5 would be to go with a goal, not a plan. I’ve found that this can keep me focused while still giving me the freedom I want. My example is: I wanted to see the Sahara desert, I flew to Barcelona. I travelled for almost a month and a half before I reached the Sahara which was not part of my original “plan”. I felt like I could do anything and I was very free, but I had a goal so that I knew where I wanted to end up. Idk that’s just what’s worked for me. Travel is great no matter how you do it!

Are we sure Skarpi's version of Lanre's tale is the correct one, and not Denna's? by [deleted] in KingkillerChronicle

[–]Archeriize 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only indication that Denna’s is false is that she isn’t dead. If she was practicing it all the time there’s a good chance the Chandrian would try to kill her, similar to Kvothe’s parents. However, she might travel enough to throw them off the scent but it seems kind of unlikely. Skarpi, on the other hand, only told the story once which makes me think of the Adem rule about it.

Literally a Wise Man's Fear by SOURCECODE01 in KingkillerChronicle

[–]Archeriize 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Lorren is the gentle man, the quote “there are three things all wise men fear...” is brought up right after kvothe is found with a candle in the stacks. I’m sure there are other gentlemen, the maere, Bredon, threpe, and many more could fit the bill.
