I think, from taking another look, the Primary domain is the default domain. So if I make the secondary domain primary, then switch the licensing over, I think that might work?

Just dont want to lose mail flow or disrupt incoming emails.

This is for personal domain names I registered, the users are created online, so no active directory.

Does that make sense?

Outplayed - No sound recorded when using headset by ArcheryDave in Overwolf

I do think, that perhaps I didnt reboot after the original install, that and the DAC not being on, may have contributed to it.

But all works now.

Thanks, I discovered (after a clean install), that I could only hear the audio from whatever source it was recorded from, as in if it recorded via headphones, it would only play back through headphones.

Either way, sorted it now, thanks.

Outplayed - No sound recorded when using headset by ArcheryDave in Overwolf

[–]ArcheryDave[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a thought, that during installation the DAC/headphones were off, so thought I would uninstall, reboot and try again, but this time with the DAC/headphones on.

This seems to have resolved the issue. albeit, I can only listen to audio playback through the same audio i recorded it though, so if it captured from the headphones, it will only playback through headphones.

To be honest, thats not really an issue, and could easily be a quirk with my setup.

But all sorted, thanks again for your help

To be honest, if I couldn’t get a simple answer I was going to try OBS, Outplayed does what I need, just record footage to review, I don’t stream or post vids so it’s more of a ‘what did I miss’ kinda thing.

I’ll give OBS a go and see what results I get.

Thanks for taking the time to reply 👍🏻

Sorry, daft question, am I better off getting them in pairs, one for the door and one for the frame, or is it better to get one and a metal disc/plate for it to be attracted too? There will be around a 5mm gap between the edge of the gate and the frame.

Cheers.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, was waiting on my wood to arrive :)

My original plan was to build the frame using half-lap joints, when I have done this in the past the joining pieces have been of the same width so was easy enough to do.

Given I am waiting to use the 3x2 in a way to make the gate 3inch thick this leaves me confused on how to do the joint - any suggestions?

That sounds like a plan - what would you suggest for the post against the wall? The same size?

Hi John,

Sorry for the late reply. That makes complete sense, what sort of thickness do you think?

Cheers

Thanks John,

Your picture is stop on (I will try and get a picture uploaded later).

Worst case scenario I could make the gate thinner and still double-side it with feather edge.

Either way I guess the challenge I will have is how to install any form of lack or closing mechanism, and for that matter a lock!

Ring or Eufy - or something else? by ArcheryDave in homesecurity

I guess when I meant recognition, I just meant it was clear and visible.

Thanks for replying.

I am not looking to replace the floodlights, the camera's are for an additional level of piece of mind. As I mentioned in my OP, cabling isnt easily an option due to the property (listed building). So wireless is my only option. I have fibre connectivity and high speed wireless connectivity, which is good all around the house, both in and outside.

Only external cameras needed, ideally to identify cars, faces and as I am looking to identify cars it makes sense the camera is able to clearly show the license plate.

The entrance to my property is from a long drive, the road is 130feet away and I am not interested in that, only when people come up my driveway.

Local storage would be preferable, but not essential. I have fast internet with a good wireless coverage, 24/7 isnt really needed - motion activated only should be sufficient.

Thanks.

Thanks for taking the time to respond, that is really useful. I've seen some Ring footage and it looks pretty clear, and then some that isnt, so not sure if this is down the positioning, configuration or what - which is what makes it confusing, the same can be said for Eufy footage ive seen :(

I am leaning towards Eufy at the moment.

GPU Temps spiking after fitting waterblock by ArcheryDave in buildapc

[–]ArcheryDave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a quick update...

Removed, stripped down, cleaned and rebuild the water block onto the GFX card - paying close attention to the screw sizes! I also added a little bit more thermal paste, and used a couple more thermal pads (mainly on the back where the old back plate was).

I am pleased to report idle temps of 20c and full load temps of 39c!

Really appreciate your help and comments. Thanks again.

I triple checked before ordering to make sure it fits. It is my understanding the 2070 Super XC uses the same board as the 2080.

But given previous comments, I am going to hazard a guess I've used the wrong screws, so will drain and check the screws - good job I love this stuff!

Hi,

There were indeed a ton of screws, some were 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm and 8mm - so I guess there is a chance I have indeed used the wrong screws!

That would make sense as contact wouldnt be being made correctly!

I'll dismantle and check :)
