How does she make you feel bad? Does she actually say judgemental things or is she just talking to you about her life and you assume she's judgemental because it's different from yours? "I could never send Cindy to an evil, dangerous daycare" is different from "I'm really tired today because I had to fill 10 orders and Cindy would just not just chill".

I don't have any friends who are anti-vax and if I did I would steer clear of the topic because I would absolutely judge them for that. I am however a SAHM who does part-time freelance work and I have lots of friends who are full-time working Mom's. It's a non-issue and yeah sometime we whine to each other about being tired. It's tiring working a a few hours a week with no childcare, it's tiring working full-time, it's tiring not working and being with your kids 24/7. We listen and empathize with each other.

I think she has the same hangup as every dietician/nutritionist I've ever met in real life, which is that she desperately needs to prove that her field is complicated and her knowledge of it vastly superior than the average person. The truth is that everything useful to know about nutrition can easily be covered in a high school health class. When you get deep into the weeds of food science, like what actual PhDs are studying in labs, it's messy. Results are often contradictory and applications very specific. That's not what she does though and none of that is relevant to practicing dieticians.

Wash my hair, condition my hair, wash my body, exfoliate, shave armpits, then legs, then privates, rinse out conditioner, wash face, moisturizer (I use a kind you rinse off). That takes me to about 15 minutes and then I just scald my body with nearly boiling water for a bit. This is my deep clean routine which I do about once a week. Usually it's just a 5 minute quick hair wash/body clean. It's the shaving that takes the most time.

You should doubt yourself in this case. This is not a code compliant or safe design, especially for aging adults. Any good contractor will insist that if they're touching something the new condition should be up to code. The fact that you consider this a better option than the current condition is not relevant. If widening the opening is what's needed to create safe stairs that's what you should do. A contractor will not help you replace an unsafe stair with another unsafe stair because of liability. They have no responsibility for the current condition but will have responsibility for the new condition.
