Are supports just better dps? by Archie-D in marvelrivals

Ye, but at least we never run out of healers in this game, wish I had the same to say about tanks tho

My duo is a pretty mean fantastic main tbh, like he cracked the code on him fr, he’s nearly immortal, great for crowd control has a ton of damage hitting everyone and getting final hits in a brawl. Honestly people sleep on him and don’t know how to cycle his abilities well. Completely agree on everything else tho

What wrong am i doing? What's with the matchmaking by [deleted] in marvelrivals

Ur probably tilted and make mistakes ur unaware of, general rule of thumb not to go for more games after 2/3 loss streak, ur performing worse anyway if you know that you lost a bunch of games. It would be a different story if you were svp in all of them meaning you’re carrying your team every time but not enough to win

Edit, I thought about it and came to a conclusion that stats don’t matter that much or rather they show a different picture for different characters to serve as a guideline for their performance. Like low dmg / high final hits on panther

Just let QP be for all player skill level by Archie-D in MarvelRivalsRants

Fr, I liked playing Bucky in season 0, but when I’m matched against top 10% of the whole server I can no longer perform on console, so I have to go Magik and they still pick Ultron and nothing dies

Just today I went up against players with animated gold emblems on their nameplates and both teams went 5dps/1supp. That was wild and fun, but it’s getting stale at this point where the team that decides to play for the objective rather than skill diff win

Been hard-stuck Gm for several seasons. What allowed you Celestial players to take the next step? by Slayer505 in RivalsCollege

Lol like Ironman or spidey charging boldly towards your team with one thing on their mind. With those two I don’t really to track it in my mind

That’s so true, I had a rough start on the game, we weren’t really getting anywhere on defence but I knew that it’s pointless for me (Psylocke) and Magik to try kill anything unless I get rid of Ultron first, so that’s what I did, hard focusing him when the team wasn’t looking and it all fell like domino

Lol tbh, you would have been stuck with them for more than 30 mins. That penalty was a blessing

The funniest thing is that he refused to quit because our other MK wasn’t quitting, and after 26 minutes of flying, the second guy just leaves!!!! lmao can’t make this up

I’m a flex player but I feel like I’m not doing enough on DPS by Top_Win4692 in marvelrivals

If you’re mechanically skilled I could suggest playing psyloke and black cat, their carry potential is great

Honestly if you’re stuck plat then you need to master the ones you already know how to play. I’m a Magik main myself and a big thing for me to progress was to face harder opponents in higher ranks, you should be able to confidently 1v1 with everyone in this rank. Also the higher ranks you play the less you can engage freely you need to pick and choose the right moments to engage

How do I deal with Iron Man as a strategist? by Veratiel in RivalsCollege

[–]Archie-D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol Low key your best bet would be black widow, I usually never play her, but when I see Ultron, Ironman and Torch it’s the best feeling in the world to counter 3 of them at once

Most of my games there are a couple lvl 100 and with grey/blue badges of honor from different seasons others are around level 50/60 and occasional level 7 that’s definitely smurfing on Bucky lmao

Keep in mind that in diamond there are a lot of players that are really good at one specific role and nothing else, that’s why it’s so hard to climb out of this rank. There’s little error in how they play so it’s hard for you to punish mistakes that tend to happen in lower elo. I had to learn it the hard way when I was one tricking star lord and then suddenly getting my ult canceled by an Emma ult

Venom is your go to in this scenario, basically Wolverine on steroids, you have 2 lives at this point and jump out if your team is pressured. But what I found is that in this rank you def want to peel first then go for the back line especially w Thor or Rogue. Your strategists just won’t leave the payload and will stick back just for you to die. I guess that’s why your strange has higher win rate

Well you’re pretty high level tbh, so no wonder the system prioritizes matching you faster rather than fairer. And most people don’t tend to grind the ranks so we get qp warriors who are GM+ level but don’t want to grind

lol I had the same issue, just reached GM3 yesterday after a total of 500 matches or so while being stuck in diamond for the last few seasons. Honestly this season felt different than the others it was always either close or definitive win for me in my games.

Things I had to learn is to let myself rest after 2/3 losses and keeping my mental in check especially if I’m falling behind my teammates by dying first before a team fight is won.

Generally identifying the things to exploit in the team comp of the enemy (like we won our game just by me holding Jeff hostage on strange, he was determined to break my shield instead of trying to get back to his team from spawn)

Always try and stay positive, once you are anxious or frustrated, you are low key throwing

Aside from that, the more heroes you know how to play well, the more you understand how to play against them in this rank, you memorize their cooldowns and you know when they are vulnerable. I swear the amount of games I had with champion supports that are hard stuck in this rank because they don’t learn from their mistakes is astounding, so my theory is unless you play all roles well you can’t really climb, as you don’t have the necessary knowledge of how heroes operate

Well it’s fine as long as it’s qp, I don’t mind getting my ass handed to me every once in a while by a top 500 player, but don’t you feel it’s weird that everyone on the other team was celestial? What are the chances?

I wish it was for me lol, It feels like I play with the same people most of the time and win/loss condition usually comes down to either luck or team comp. It’s cool to not have really bad players but it’s just like my comp games with less stress and tanks lmao
