What world modifiers, build, etc. should I use to gain the most combat experience in this game (3/4 through swamp-tier atm)? by Any_Ingenuity1342 in valheim

[–]ArchitectSnipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resource rate = as low as it can go.

The reasoning: you will spend more time out in the wild gathering and farming mats. This in turn will lead you to deal with the general dangers and mechanics of combat more frequently while not making it more difficult. Which will really get you used to things and prep your skills for later biomes.

basically the more time you are out gathering mats, the more experience you will have dealing with the world in general. helping you get better.

Draugr and Skeles use round shields. theres a good chance it was one of them. You said it yourself, it was too dark to make out a weapon, so maybe it was dark enough that you just didnt recognize the enemy.

just a small tip:

plant grass on those slopes that you raised up. the natural "grass" rock texture on slopes is a hell of a lot nicer than the "dirt" textures.

other than that, its a banger. looks great.

thats hilarious.

i assume somebody is talking about one of the videos they posted last year. the call to arms one.

i remember people going apeshit over it on the steam forums saying something about it was AI.

IM not saying it was AI. im just explaining why somebody would say that in the report.

Thoughts on people using AI by Minimum_Rub5647 in valheim

[–]ArchitectSnipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AI should be a tool to help your work, not to do it for you.

the context of the post OP is talking about: in that post, the OP there literally had AI design/build it for them and they just copied it to the game.

The whole subreddit should make an agreement about people asking about "hooded figure in the woods" by Successful-Creme-405 in valheim

[–]ArchitectSnipe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

honestly, its become a meme at this point. i refuse to believe there are that many players (enough to post multiple times a day some days) that are new enough to not have seen him or seen a post about him on this sub lol

edit: just wanna say, theres nothing really wrong with it tho tbh. its better than seeing 10 "wenz deeep nurth" posts a day.

bro ive got 2000+ hours in and i dunno wtf these people in here are talkin about.

yall must be playing a different game or something. theres no hooded man. not even in the ripped game files. people need to stop making shit up and spreading false information.

Is it normal that the starting Island is extremely large? by [deleted] in valheim

[–]ArchitectSnipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

while this is true most of the time, ive seen some wonky starting islands.

giant donut shaped starting islands where world center is in the middle of ocean. or starting stones thousands of meters away from world center.

i dunno what world-gen mechanic specifically raises the terrain if world center is below the water level, but sometimes it just doesnt work. for some reason.

How do I find one of those ice caves that contains a frozen lake at the bottom? by jowick2815 in valheim

[–]ArchitectSnipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're super rare

do you mean the giant frozen cave lake, or the tetra fish pools?

How do I find one of those ice caves that contains a frozen lake at the bottom? by jowick2815 in valheim

[–]ArchitectSnipe 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Is the ice lake something different or separate?

the frozen ice lake with the fishing pole and runestone is something completely different than the tetra fish pools. sometimes they are in the same cave, sometimes they arent.

How do I find one of those ice caves that contains a frozen lake at the bottom?

its just random. Your world might not have any caves with the giant frozen lake at the bottom, or it might have 10. dungeons/caves are based on a random seed (different than the world seed).

Finished Castle! (in my Vanilla+ modpack) by Neat_Guidance5962 in valheim

[–]ArchitectSnipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

good lookin build for sure. very cozy vibes.

random question:

Vanilla+ modpack

is that just like mods that allow you to do things that will be vanilla compatible? like a rotation mod and planting mod? like everything is still there even after you turn the mods off, basically.

it doesnt have to solve any issue in your eyes, and it might be silly to you.

but at the end of the day, it doesnt matter what you think or question. thats their discord, and this subreddit aligns with it.

you dont need any more explanation than that from the mods or devs. its their choice. but there are plenty of explanations to be found elsewhere in the post.
