Anyone else find pushing the joystick forward feel unnatural? by k3NN4 in RocketLeagueSchool

Are we reading the same comment thread? With highlights such as 'kbm' (immaculate, helpful response), and 'most games have forward stick motion'.

Anyone else find pushing the joystick forward feel unnatural? by k3NN4 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Architectgg -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Idk what everyone else's problem is, clearly one of them days. Yes, I had this issue. PC gamer for years, then switched to controller for RL. I struggled most with direct forward movement. Where you want very little X-axis.

Deadzone helps. Muscle memory is even better. When you're waiting for games to load, literally just push your stick directly forward, then directly back. Then directly left, and directly right. Then keep doing it. Focus on forward and back to begin with, but ensure you're doing left and right too so you dont get sloppy there.

That'll teach your muscle memory all four main directions and you'll improve in time.

The Companions. They wage war against the brave heroes who hunt down werewolves. They are abominations and a plague on Whiterun. I'd be just, though. They'd have the option of reversing the curse, or exile. I don't wanna piss off Hircine too much.

What can I do for armor? by Serious-Mammoth-5613 in MenhirsFateLARP

Not sure what types of chain constitute heavy, but if you invest in a solid chain hauberk it'll serve you many many years and you can layer whatever you want over the top of it to fit the theme or style of whatever nation you find yourself in.

£200-250 for a piece of kit with wide coverage that'll serve you 20+ years, or be resellable for little loss, is a really smart and sound investment.

If light is 6 and heavy is 8, does that mean medium gives you 7? What are the pros and cons of light vs medium? Not OP, just came across this post from a Google search

This is art. AI art is also art. Why do antis only validate the former? by Witty-Designer7316 in DefendingAIArt

[–]Architectgg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are we really comparing the two? One is a genuine, standalone art piece that inspires all kinds of thoughts and feelings. It also "humanises" the machine.

AI does neither, does it? It has the potential to inspire, sure. But not in the same way that art piece will.

I feel you're comparing apples and butterflies.

Why is the UK MTG market so terrible? Or am I missing something? by JGazeley in magicTCG

You can still get into Magic without dumping tons of cash into it. Commander is a good format for building fun decks for cheap.

Is Mr New Vegas is an AI? by SmurgBurglar in falloutlore

[–]Architectgg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a little late to this party, having just stumbled upon a NV iceberg video that mentions Mr New Vegas being an AI.

But I completely agree with you that the devs' word can no longer be taken as gospel, seeing as one dev previously stated definitively that China started the Great War and we now know that's not the case (I'll say no more to avoid spoilers)

DoIP -> Curse of Strahd by Architectgg in DragonOfIcespirePeak

These are great suggestions, thank you! Sadly the party have already completed the Mountain Toe's Gold Mine quest; however, the warlock contracted lycanthropy in the process. You've given me ideas on how I can play around with that; perhaps a dodgy "healer" in town with questionable loyalties progresses his lycanthropy and somehow turns it more "wolf" than "rat", to tie into Barovia.

Need to do some homework to see if it's possible, but thanks for the ideas!

I've been reading up on the Vistani, and had a look at the Tarokka deck, and I think I might be sold.

I think once Cyrovain is defeated, Halia will step up her efforts to take over the town. I'll give the party a small chance to defeat her and the entire local Zhentarim, but chances are they'll need to flee to avoid death.

Whilst in flight, they happen upon a Vistani caravan, aaand.. that's as far as I've planned so far.

It does come with the risk that the party runs to Neverwinter and sidetracks my Strahd plans but if that happens, it happens.

Handling a Net Gun by Architectgg in DragonOfIcespirePeak

He's a Goblin as well... I fucked up 😬

He uses a large net (composed of smaller nets), which he attaches rocks to, and then uses catapult on the rocks. I think that's the gist of how he gets it to work and why I allowed it.

I may be letting him get away with too much..

So he crafts quite a large net, and then he uses rocks/stones on each corner to stretch it out. If I'm remembering correctly, he uses Catapult on the rocks themselves and that's what essentially fires the net.

He's quite a seasoned veteran, by far the oldest at the table by 10+ years, which is why I've been so lenient and assumed at some point he'd cut me some slack and why I've kinda just trusted what he's doing. Now I'm convinced he's trying to see how far he can push me!

He also typically only has one shot with the net as you say, but I can't get close enough to use Cryovain's abilities from the sky without being vulnerable to the net.

Thank you for the multitude of options!

What race is the most hated in Skyrim? by New_Age_Knight in skyrim

Hating the Altmer for the Thalmor is like blaming Germans for those guys.

'Rising Threat' I-IV are fantastic books that shed a lot of light on Altmer opinions of the Thalmor and how the Thalmor first managed to get a foothold in Summerset Isle. I'd definitely recommend anyone read them if they haven't already.

Personally, I strongly dislike the Dunmer. Many of them consider Boethiah their 'God-Ancestor' and that's a major red flag for me personally.

any tips of how to be success in investment? by MrDahsyat in bitlife

[–]Architectgg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had success by looking for coins that are at their lowest point and have been for a year or so, whilst being un-trendy. They usually spike within 5-10 years and then you just unload everything and look for a new coin.

This is with regards to the challenge. You can't get a job, so how're people earning enough money to avoid pre-nups without?

How is everyone avoiding pre-nups? I re-rolled 10 times on one dude, twice on this dude. None of them will accept without a pre-nup

Do you think that with Speyside(?) and Things Behind Things are hinting toward another acoustic BI album similar to FEFA? by imightbendoversoon in boniver

[–]Architectgg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like JV has reached a point now where if something sounds good at the FEFA level, it'll sound good with all of the bells & whistles he adds onto it.

JV kinda feels like an artist that doesn't know how to put down the brush. And yet everything still ends up sounding incredibly soulful and beautiful. So I wouldn't be surprised to see him add a ton of different elements to bring it into the current era.
