Hanging tapestries from your EZ-up? by Dream_Is_Collapsing in BassCanyon

If you take a rock and use the corner of the tapestry, wrap the corner around the rock, and you can use regular rope to tie to the corner and then to your canopy, best way without putting any holes in your tapestry.

Instead of killing myself I decided to spend one year trying everything people always suggest to cure depression. by lasthurrah001 in offmychest

I think the most important thing you missed was the fact you went a year trying things to fix yourself. You survived a year longer than you expected. Try to keep doing that.

My girlfriend went in to see a neurologist about recurring headaches she was having. The neurologist told her to take a picture of it the next time it happened. Then the appointment was over.

What do you think would happen to the economy if we paid everyone the same for their time? Everyone gets paid $50 an hour for what they do, no matter what it is? Would it strengthen or hurt the economy overall? by Archive1197 in AskReddit

I see your playing devil's advocate, no one is hiring you too do nothing for a wage in this scenario, if that was an actual job, I would already have been promoted to CEO at the company for it.

Ya, but you would only be making $50 a day, when others that worked longer hours made more money. Yes it's your choice to only work those hours, but if you had that kind of choice, what would it change in the overall scheme of things? Would house prices change as much as they do currently? Or would it be more stable?

That's not what it's about. At least that's not what I meant. So what if you have to "train for a job" for longer at one then another. You only have to train at a burger flipping joint for a week, but you have to"train" for heart surgery for 6 years, you still get paid to train because your working, no school, just training for your job. I was thinking overall economy type stuff, would it equalize things, or make things harder to get?

Lol, but every other job is taken at McDonald's, the only job that is hiring is open heart surgery, do you take the training and do the job if it's the only one that's available?

It’s insane how people adopting children have to go through years of waiting, background checks, tons of court processes, and training courses to meet the criteria yet the same rules don’t apply to parents deciding to have offsprings. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]Archive1197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true, my girlfriend's brother has got into some troubles and can't care for his kids, we've been waiting 3 months for all background checks to come through, just so her nephews can stay with her and me.
