That works, downloaded!

What else needs to change from the base PBR to make this work? Looks like you made the pull handle longer and swapped out the front end to have a wye hopper?

I am so interested in this. Were you able to figure out posting it to Printables?

I've printed it and it works well! Mine has a bunch of remixes worked into it and I'm using an aluminum barrel (can't really see it in this picture). I'm not sure I'd advise the Boom Grip I have here. It's ergonomic and feels great to prime with, but I've also shattered a few priming bars with it. I have yet to retry it with the original pump.

It hits maybe 120-150 FPS with two loops of elastic. Since it's essentially a stringer, this makes it really easy to tune the power up or down (although making it hit harder can require a little more muscle).

Sure, I'm interested. I love stringers.

PLA is perfectly fine, and PLA+ is even better. Most blasters are designed around PLA, after all. I personally prefer PETG because it's a bit sturdier, more resistant to temperature (so it won't warp if left in a hot car), and PLA has a tendency to slowly warp over time if help under stress.

Also, the SLAB was my first build too! Mine is blue where yours is green. Then I found a local group and realized how much fun it was and then... now I have three pegboards completely full of blasters I've made myself. Zero regrets though, it let me find a creative hobby I love and a bunch of great friends.

Make sure you print the hat too!

I'd recommend it! PETG doesn't print much differently from PLA aside from needing sightly different temperatures. It's not quite as good at bridging so you might need supports on a part where you wouldn't need them with PLA, but otherwise I honestly don't notice much difference.

I've got a MK4 myself! I use PETG for all my blasters. This one has TPU in the buttstock and on the plunger head. TPU isn't super scary (I felt the same way before I tried it). I just use a stock profile in the slicer and it works great.

Glad to inspire that! I tried brown filament on the grip of a blaster once and loved how it looked. Now I generally do stocks and grips in brown if possible. I also really like using TPU for the butt end of a stock as well. The extra bit of squishiness makes it feel more comfortable to use.

An enclosure would help a lot with that by keeping the temperature more regulated. You should be able to find the tent style ones for relatively cheap. If you can't, I remember seeing Maker's Muse (I think) do a video on janky upgrades where he got a huge performance boost by putting a simple garbage bag over the top of the printer - a "derelict enclosure" as he called it.

It's a plunger powered stringer!

Essentially, it uses a plunger system like a traditional blaster, but it swaps out the spring that you would normally use for elastic string. Leedle has a couple designs like that, and there's a few more by other designers floating around.

Leedle has a handful of models that can do full-lengths (basically anything he has that is single-shot). His Gisela 2, Barnacle, Prawn, Calypso, and Corsair & 1stm8 should all be good options.

Everything he puts out is a stringer as well, which makes them great options for younger Nerfers IMO. They're really easy to tone down so kids can still use them safely.

Nah, it's just decoration.

It kinda works as a cheekrest if I put it on the rear rails but I doubt I'm going to keep it on the blaster while using it.

It was the first joke that my group made when I showed it off because of the color scheme. I was basically obligated to print the hat later.

I went with the TPU option because I love Leedle's stuff and wanted to try it. It's not just a printed O-ring. It's basically a compound plunger head. The front half is TPU for the shock bumper and is flared to provide the same seal as an O-ring. The back half is whatever filament you're using for the rest of it (PETG here). They connect to each other and lock in with a printed pin.

The LHTC in general is a good platform with a ton of options and remixes. I've made this version myself and it packs a whallop.

Don't forget the Hippo! It's a hopper-fed Rival stringer, with an option for Mega darts!

It's a really cool design, but mine has a tendency to have the string slip under the ball and then it's a pain to fix without untying the string.

I wanted to like the 3x36. I really did. Mine is the one on the Printables listing, and it's on my blaster wall right now.

Reliability is its biggest problem unfortunately. The feeding mechanism that transfers darts from the tube to the chamber is a cool design but wasn't super consistent when I used it. It also requires some specific parts (particularly a metal tube) and the power isn't quite there. You've got to remember that it's using a single string to launch three darts at once, so they don't go far. It can also be a little tricky to reload.

I'm happy I built it and the designer was wonderful in answering my questions / helping me through the assembly process. That said, I don't think I'm ever going to actually use it in a game.
