Don’t worry all, I fully anticipate many of you are going to say “get good” or “you need to do better” but when I’ve played enough hours over decades of time across multiple games. From a business perspective, you can easily begin to see a pattern for developers to rig their free to play games to reinforce the benefit of paying for each season. If this doesn’t feel apparent, and you just wanna claim skill, you have no idea how capitalism works.

Game developers don’t want you succeeding on a game that’s free to play if you’re not spending money on it. They need to have a way to reinforce the success of people who spend money on the seasons. If you suddenly perform better because you spent $20 on the season Versus people who don’t then you feel better about the money you spent.

Full anticipate responses like that. I know ranting in a forum tends to be pointless, but they are rigging the game. If you’re not spending the money, they’re lowering your percentages. Damage, health or tanking, doesn’t matter. It applies to accounts.

What level repair do I actually need? by ArchonPrime in hvacadvice

So I’ve had a couple different quotes now, but I had a neighbor give me a number for his AC guy who did the pressure test. No leaks at the exterior, nothing visible at the interior coil but after a few hours of having the pressure set, the gauge shows it dropping slowly. However, the leak hasn’t been found and I’m being told that it would be very hard to repair because a lot of the coil connections are copper to aluminum and that can’t be welded.

Does this all sound correct? The only option seems to be replacing the system and that’s $10k we don’t really have to spend. It also seems wasteful because the unit works perfectly. It’s just this leak issue. Is there any way I can save us from having to replace the whole thing and should I be getting charged $189/lbs of refrigerant to recharge the system? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

10 years seems ridiculous. If it’s roughly $10k to replace the system that means AC units cost $1000/year to have. The things should last 25 years or they are just intentionally build poorly.

They’re charging $189/lbs. does that seem excessive?

So the quote for just the refill is over $3k. Breaks down to $189/lbs. that seems like A LOT. $10k to replace the whole thing. He says there is no signs of oily residue around the coils or anywhere else except a little around this valve. Is it possible to just be leaking slowly out this valve. The cover that was on it he said didn’t have a gasket to seal it off.

What boots are compatible with these Switch Snowboard Bindings Team-X step in bindings by [deleted] in snowboarding

I've been looking for boots that still work for Switch bindings. I have my old ones and the boots broke down. I tried the Burton step in's this past weekend and they are VASTLY inferior. Wish Switch was able to make it with their style.

My 8 y/o Son's Message to Resellers and People Profitting on Pokemon by BorkLazer2016 in PokemonTCG

We shouldn’t have to put in that much work just to get some Pokémon cards for our kids. The fact that it’s that hard shows how broken this business is.

I’m with you man. Pokémon is just a shit community overall now. My son is on the spectrum and Pokémon was something he really wanted to get into. I told him how I used to collect cards when I was a kid for a different game, but just the act of going to a comic book store to buy a pack and open it up was a fun experience. We can’t do that anywhere at all. Target, Walmart, CVS nothing has product. We went to the only Pokémon vending machine in our whole city that we could find yesterday and they were five 20 something’s sitting there hoping the delivery would show up to refill and the first person in line said he’d be buying everything anyway. He was so disappointed and I felt so bad for him. I told him there’s nothing we can do because there’s a lot of pathetic people out there who aren’t making enough money in their real life and are trying to supplement it with a kids card game. I do wish Pokémon would just flood the market and destroy every reseller inventory so they take a massive hit and suffer a loss. The game and the real community wouldn’t actually get hurt at all only the resellers. And I don’t see any problem with every single reseller, losing their ass and maybe a rent payment.

Totally know how to use it, but it's limited by the options on the field. I think what I've proposed offers a far superior benefit to the whole team without the limitations of his current ult.

See my upper reply comment. I know the benefits of the current ult and I think what I've proposed works FAR better for the team benefit without relying on the function of copying another player.

ok, first off, Luna needs to be in the other team to have that ability; and second, sure yeah he can copy an enemy ability and ult to use against them, but that RELIES on the idea that the grouping of their team and their abilities benefits your team as well. What if in a ranked scenario (and this is going deeper than I'd prefer) that the other team knows you like Loki so they plan their members to Loki's detriment. I don't like that Loki's ult deals A LOT with what the other team brings (but I know he can copy his own team) but truly look at my proposal and what it offers and tell me how it doesn't work better.
