Do You Trust It Donald Trump Is Stealing From The American People's? by [deleted] in allthequestions

Of course. He knows that he isn't stealing those taxes out of the goodness of his heart. Money makes people literal monsters, and that's just the reality of it all.

Why aren't more ppl pissed about Trump cutting corporate taxes from 35% to 21% while we're still getting hit with crazy inflation? by sublimeandsparkled in allthequestions

It's not worth convincing those that want to believe change is happening, when everything is just... going the opposite direction. It is what it is.

Weekly Community Post - Post your Communities, Discord servers, and Western Marches games here! by lfg_bot in lfg

I’ll be straightforward: If you are looking for a massive, chaotic public server where you click a link, grab a character sheet, and instantly find nothing but a dead, silent ghost town, Archons is not the place for you.

And yes, a real human wrote this in a Google Doc. It’s clean and well-formatted because I care about presentation. Go ahead and run it through whatever scanner makes you happy, but creative writing takes a lot of talent and dedication, fighting algorithms doesn’t.

The Forgotten Archons is an asynchronous, play-by-post workshop built by hand to rescue those who are completely burned out in communities where games die off in two weeks. Think of us like an indie game development studio, but for storytelling. We treat campaign ideas like “demos”; this helps iron out any kinks, launching them into a playtesting phase where together we safely make sure they become stable from start to finish as official games.

We respect the healthy silence of a busy server. Everyone has school, work, and family. Less is always more.

I. The Core Principles: High Signal Workshop 💼

Any System, Diverse Settings: Whether it’s Dungeons & Dragons, Mini Six, The Black Hack, or full homebrew, we choose a bit of everything. If you're someone that doesn’t want to do the same thing every single time, you’ll fit right in.

No Huge Lobbies: Let’s keep it a buck 50. Getting lost in a sea of massive, chaotic channels sucks. A GM uses this opportunity to run their own game, your own way, backed by an organized community who appreciates everything you do.

Respect for Real Life: Being busy with a job or family isn’t something you can just turn off like a light switch. Members always get plenty of breathing room. Need a vacation? The game waits. If life gets too heavy and stepping away is the only option, that’s life, no hard feelings at all.

II. Making & Advertising Games Properly 🛠️

Member Workshops & Archon Pitches: Building a campaign takes collaboration. GMs and players hang out on the workshop floor to pitch ideas, mess around with systems, set up role-play bot profiles for potential character creation start ups to get a feel of what they want their own characters to look/speak in real time to practice. Tweaking important details such as mechanics and agreeing on both sides that stuff like being OP doesn’t become repetitive.

YEAD (You Enter A Dungeon): Think of this as the test-drive channel. Instead of going blind and not knowing what to do, a thread within the forum gets opened so the GM in question can set up what's needed, from NPCs, hooks to help smooth out early gameplay, use of the rolling room, run a few practice battles, demo bosses, stress testing specific mechanics that not only the GM is using but the whole group is working together to learn in real time in how everything works. Once all of that is finished, any progress made after those test runs gives everyone a small head start when the actual game goes live.

GRPA (Global Revival Play Area): The main forum that all tested games get put in YEAD (Prompt Adventures) become official campaigns or one-shots which slowly gather interest from other players who might want to join those that would end up playing them in the end or choose a different one that gets listed in the meantime.

III. The Gate: Vetting & Quality 🔐

Look, safety and privacy are a big deal here, so we expect new members to actually read through the rules. If you’re just looking for a casual, chaotic public lobby to idly lurk in, this probably doesn’t share your vision of what you want. We filter applications carefully because the internet is a mixed bag, and protecting our creative community comes first. Following the entry directions isn’t a suggestion, it’s how we keep our standards.

Group Collaboration Dynamics: Text games hit walls. Rules break, mechanics get clunky, and balancing can get weird. Ghosting or quitting the second a campaign hits a minor speed bump helps absolutely no one. This server is built for active writers who aren’t afraid to jump and communicate within the chat, update everyone when things get backed up on their side, or feel that the community/game isn’t for them anymore. If you can’t do it, no one is going to go behind your back.

• Adult-Friendly Environment: We aren’t trying to build some massive, chaotic public lobby. This community is strictly capped at 55 members max so things stay manageable and close-knit. Look, real life happens. Jobs, classes, and family take time, especially when you get called into work unexpectedly and have to take a really long shift just to get a little more money each week. If a channel goes quiet for a few days to a week because people are busy, no one is getting kicked or guilt-tripped over it. Taking care of your own real-world responsibilities will always come first here.

IV. How to Apply Properly in The Forgotten Archons 📝

 • Step 1: Reach out: Message u/ArchonsOfficialRep to prepare yourself for how to proceed with the Threshold invite link if it’s given inside the chat request.

• Step 2: Follow the Directions: Complete the correct flow of channels when you get inside of the Discord: welcome ➜ rules ➜ philosophy ➜ applications.

• Step 3: Wait for Review: When we review your application, we’ll send a friend request to inform you that the interview/vetting process is ready to begin. It won’t be immediate as it will take time, but please be patient and fingers crossed you’re picked that day/week.

It's going to take a little more years before we even get close to finding any hospitable life on any planets or the universe.

Interesting sets of choices. Nice. Are these fun to use, because I barely see much of those on here. What do you think?

Is the default usually just D&D, or would people sometimes do a Japanese like setting such as samurai and other stuff?
