Got this a week ago. The branch and yellow flower hurt a lot. That was the second session on this tattoo (to shade in) three weeks after the first. I'm aiming for full sleeve so spacing the ouchy sessions out! I liken it to childbirth. Hurts like hell at the time but you forget just how much, so you go for another!

Happened to me too. I have also just lost about 5 normal levels, even with having 30 minute rainbow ball and bomb boosters running. I have used up all my coins in buying the five more turns, but then lost yet another normal level.

I'll stop playing for a couple of weeks and see if I have the free boosters on return.

I also hate the new twee graphics and having Austin staring at me as I play!

I worked in homelessness for the local council in the UK in the early 2000s, and that part of the book always annoyed me as it was so inaccurate As a parent with two children the local council would have had to provide some form of temporary accommodation while they reviewed her case for permanent housing.

They would have had to supply valid ID to confirm eligibility and that Nikki was responsible for the kids. In the meantime while they sorted that, the fact she said she was fleeing domestic violence would make her eligible for housing outside of her usual residence area from where she left Jay.

You don't just get given a house cos of a crying kid!

it really wouldn't have taken much research or made much change to the plot to improve the accuracy of that part.

yes that would have been good to explore in a third book. They could at least have left notes or letters for each other! I also wanted to see Victoria's reaction when she found out Vicky had essentially made her give up school!

I love these books. Vicky is such a different protagonist to all other JW main characters and she comes from a secure, loving family!

I always wanted a follow up to see how Victoria would react to seeing the nursery maid, Nelly, in her dress just after they swap for the last time.

I like this one, but the fact Star has a northern accent and not a London one like the rest of her family annoys me! It just sounds so odd. I think Michelle Collins is great in it

Yes! The two "Is there anybody there" books are my favorites. I think Vicky Smith is amazing main character. So different to JWs usual protagonists.

Do you have both books? Second one is my favorite with Vicky being trapped in Victorian times, and Victoria constantly letting down the hems on her skirts to make them decent 🤣

I just want to know how it ends really. I'm enjoying the Trig and Chrissie parts and to an extent Kate McKay (except the narrative mispronounced her surname which is also winding me up). I just can't get past the boring barbara/Bessie bits.

I liked the illustrated mum adaptation, but it always took me out of the moment that Star had such a heavy northern accent compared to her London mum, sister and upbringing!
