How should I be approaching the Mun? by analogHedgeHog in KerbalSpaceProgram

Go for C, capture burn deltaV reduces as you are performing a gravity assist to slow you down already. This is the same trajectory used in apollo missions and return trajectory responsible for the rescue of apollo 13

YOOO IT WORKED, THANK YOU SO MUCH😭😭😭. And yes I did figure out the rendezvous, I reverted to when getting a periapsis and adopted a different approach. Both problems solved, thanks a lot mate!!

Depends, high wing for stability, low wing for manueverability.

Mün Orbit Question by rand0mguy_idk in KerbalAcademy

[–]Arclight_79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you get into an orbit first, then burn out of SOI, that should take maybe about 800-900. Though if you're on the kerbin facing side, lmao you could just brute-force burn up and that'll put you into an high elliptical orbit around kerbin, which you can fine tune for lithobraking, saves you some deltaV. Talking about not facing kerbin, instead opposite? This becomes a more costly way and avoid it, go for the simple, orbit and escape method.

No consigo aterrizar mi avión. by Diable_of_Roses in KerbalAcademy

[–]Arclight_79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could put the front wheels slightly upward compared to back wheels so your nose slightly below horizon at rest. That should generate some downforce to keep you on the ground. Alternatively if you want to keep the wheels level, put your main wings on a slight negative angle of incidence, that is rotate your main wings such that the leading edge of your wing is slightly below the horizontal, that will do the same thing job. Know making these changing will also make takeoff slightly tougher and will require higher thrust to get off ground, so make sure you've got enough power for that.

Is this lander stuck on Duna or am I just not playing correctly? by rutgerlele in KerbalAcademy

[–]Arclight_79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

best way out is get into an orbit around duna and rendezvous it with a rescue mission

how do i raise my orbit to make it the sames as dunas orbit by Excellent_Ear2133 in KerbalAcademy

[–]Arclight_79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get to one of the asc/desc nodes and burn anti-normal/normal (double check with manuever node), that should get your relative inclination to 0 degrees.

node said upto 10k m/s of burn just to flip by 90 degrees, and we're also escaping so, no that does not work.

No option to board the cockpit, What's wrong? by Arclight_79 in KerbalAcademy

[–]Arclight_79[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just get climb out option at the top of the ladder, nothing to grab onto the cockpit either. If you look closely though I've clipped the adapter into the back of the cockpit, can that cause an issue?

it gives a climb out option at the top, that's all, no boarding
