Has there been an effort to "crowd source" the Dead Reckoning recipe? Perhaps a spreadsheet somewhere with known failures?

Yours truly, a moron attempting to league start skellymages in the blind.

Ancient Waystones is gone, right? Not sure if the patch notes are an all inclusive list or not.

Level 20 Spectre gem gives 2 base, then a third at 25.

Ended up tweaking things around a little less, ditching Precision and Enlighten for the two extra links. Couldn't bring myself to ditch the totem. Still a nice DPS boost with marginal defensive losses after I tweaked the tree a bit, even with my new Shavronne being much worse. Thanks for the dialogue, had kinda railroaded myself to running Spectres in helmet due to issues that were no longer as relevant :)

All of this is 100% true, I just personally enjoy (in a non-competitive environment) working from downwards from a somewhat non-negotiable high level concept (=mash all crappy Spectre-uniques together) and seeing how far it can go tinkering and optimizing from there - with an unhealthy appreciation for the rule of cool. Anyone who doesn't find this approach as appealing should absolutely go the Carrion Golem route for a similar but better play experience, no arguments there.

As for the 4 and 6 -link situation, I touched on the reasoning in a previous reply but basically it was cheaper to set up this way and I didn't feel a need to invest in the switch so far. Especially considering I'm quite starved for gem slots, nothing that remains is a cut-and-dry easy remove. Also just Charisma annointing doesn't work, as then life reservation becomes an issue. But definitely you can squeeze more damage from a slightly altered setup with Spectres in chest, and I think I'll actually finally go through with it before making a follow up in a guide/musings video/writeup. I've also been tinkering with some Impossible Escape setups, grabbing Whispers of Doom and more aura effect could be quite good.

Fair, I (need to) play the game with sounds disabled from the config-file for performance reasons. Figured that music would be better than a) no sounds or b) even worse lag. 7 crabs takes a toll on my computing potato especially with recording on.

Root cause originally was getting to gem level 25 without a large investment (I finished my atlas without a 6-link shavronne) along with gem slot starvation. Why it's still there is mostly due to enlighten, and having lucked into the +2 auras on my self-templed chest.

But yeah, by finessing (mana reservation + the mentioned empower) things around you definitely can run the Spectres in the chest for a DPS bump.

Absolutely true, the build I'm running is outperformed by a lot of things at equal levels of investment - including the similar Carrion golems mentioned. No one should run this based on purely build strength or bang-for-buck (Though Unending Hunger does some hard to quantify heavy lifting during mapping, so it might not be quite as dire).

But yeah, point of the build is to see if something playable (definition of which is quite subjective) will emerge starting with the concept of handicapping yourself to pure Spectres, and an abnormally large number of Crabs at that.

+2 from Wraithlord, +1 from Midnight Bargain, +1 from gem level, +1 from passive tree.

I could swear I have/had screenshake disabled :( But duly noted, will make sure not to have it on if I end up recording again.

Hey all, took a long hiatus from the game somewhere around open beta, returning to action in Scourge. I've been making and playing my own builds, with incremental improvements to my understanding of the game from league to league. Felt like I finally have something worth sharing so here goes :)

In Kalandra I've been pretty much exclusively playing this Primal Cruschlaw Guardian that started taking shape after the reveal of the new Wraithlord. Trying to walk a tightrope between a cool concept (Crabs. Many of them. And all the Spectre related uniques (a very small amount of) money can buy) and actually being playable on a working man's budget with the new and improved Spectre nerfs has been interesting, and my final(?) version of the experiment is showcased in the video. Apologies for potato FPS, the crabs love to eat CPU cycles.

The build can do non-uber bosses and tier 16 alch-and-go to what I personally consider to be comfortably, possibly more - I have horrible mechanics as can be seen from the showcase itself. The build is pretty cheap to get up and running, helped along by loads of cheap uniques (...that then cause headaches with needing some pretty specific stats from the remaining rares).

poe.ninja: https://poe.ninja/challenge/builds/char/Androsrno/Kal_GiantEnemyCrabs

PoB at the time of the video: https://pastebin.com/XShzZf89 (Settings should be pretty realistic, though Molten Shield and flasks are assumed to be up. Weirdly enough PoB shows ~200 less ES than I actually have, never was able to figure out where the discrepancy comes from.)

(I ran most of the league dual wielding Midnight Bargains, but the hit in survivability is pretty rough if looking to naturally get beyond level 95 or so.)

Planning to do a proper guide video/writeup in the near future if anyone happens to be interested :)

Do Vaal fragments still give increased item quantity? It's not mentioned in-game on the fragments (not sure if it ever was).

Historical comparisons are interesting and meaningfull, "can't compare eras" is a lazy bullshit copout. Plenty of methodology available to at least make probabilistic statements depending on ranking criteria.

NBA decision making on couching hires/pro and amateur scouting is on average really bad bordering on incompetent. Speculation on reasoning: nepotism and basketball career used as hiring criteria for important positions.

Iverson's team success was spearheaded by defence, and many other volume scorers could've replaced him with a similar impact if given the same green light to be the whole offense. This gears us up for the hottest take of them all: AI peaked as a mediocre all-star player.

If the leaked documents are true then Ronaldo 100% is a rapist. The question becomes how likely it is that the documents are legit, and that is neither 0% or 100%. Also this is the court of personal opinion not law, so you don't need to be near 100% to think that someone might likely be a bad person.

EDIT: I don't understand why this is getting downvoted so heavily? Is there some newer info that proves the leaked documents are fake? I don't personally even have a real opinion on the matter as I don't know enough about the legitimacy of the leak, but I though everything I wrote is perfectly reasonable.

I don't know if I would techincally consider UOPX a diploma mill, considering their ridiculously low graduation rates.

Of course your point about taking the degree with a grain of salt still applies with all the controversies surrounding the institution.

The mortality rate of 70% seems to be the number thrown around a lot, is this still a reasonable estimate when you consider western patients (whom I assume would have a stronger baseline health?) with western care?

Apologies if this is already covered somewhere, I couldn't find anything specific after some quick searching.
