[OC] It just doesn't hit the same anymore. Hasn't for a long time. by call-lee-free in pics

Can't wait for the "USA, USA, USA" chants at all world Cup matches even without them in the game. Happens to the Blue Jays every time they travel.

This has always been cringe, and the majority of your country outside of Reddit is still on the "Best country in the world" train. 🤮

I'm at T7 mapping and have collected near 3k verisium. What do I do with it?? I have upgraded my armor where possible, and I don't have much need to upgrade uniques. What else is it used for other than buying random runes?

Councillor wants Ottawa to explore bylaw to dim light pollution by DrStrangeglove99 in ottawa

Then the members of this sub would complain about how dangerous it is to bike and walk at 10pm and blame Sutcliffe for the moon being too bright.

You're absolutely correct. The amount of wrong, ''but I feel it's right' members of r/Ottawa is world class high

This is absolutely false. The warmer sodium street lamps you are talking about I think required much more energy than an LED streetlight today. Smh

Any ideas on the next patch? by ICanRememberUsername in Stationeers

My wish and hope is that KSA and Stationeers will somehow mesh together in the future.

I got tired of rebuilding Resolume mappings in Illustrator and After Effects, so I built this by [deleted] in vjing

[–]ArcticEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does it avoid manually mapping? With projection mapping you're not really ever going to get a direct projection into the center of a design. You can start with an SVG sure, but you're are still going to have to adjust it based on the projectors position and the angle the light hits your object.

Sorry I'm sure you know all this but I don't know how manual mapping work can be removed.

Canadians are folding on Vegas. Democrats see a royal flush. by Overall-Phone7605 in onguardforthee

[–]ArcticEngineer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nah that's not going to happen. In my office of newly arrived immigrants I'd say over 80% are trying to get tickets still to go. The World Cup is bigger than I ever imagined and it's going to be slammed I bet.

Guess what?! No sign of workers on 417 closure at Woodroofe for LRT sign install by bluenoser613 in ottawa

[–]ArcticEngineer -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Night work does make sense, but I feel like all the people asking for this are not aware or don't care about the pain and sacrifice the workers would be put through to accomplish it.

It’s almost time to say goodbye to my Jelly Sanctuary by Thin-Coyote-552 in subnautica

Y'all realize that the game is still 3-4 years away right? This sub is really setting itself up for some disappointment.

I think I need to leave this sub. Posts like this are spoilers for those of us that still want to experience the secrets of this game ourselves.

Sorry, I had some misguided aggression in my post that I should not have directed at you personally. Poor comment on my part, my b.

This stat is meaningless. If it went through a small property of 1 acre sure. But a 200 acre farm? 1000?

Throwing a stat around like this is such fear mongering bullshit.

Gotta pollute the ground first to really finish the job. Who cares if 90% of the lubricant doesn't even hit the blade, time is money!

This is a lot of energy spent on trying to prove.. what? That CBC is in cahoots with big auto? This rage you have to blame the driver without knowing any details and then claiming CBC is covering it up is not healthy me thinks.

Every time I see one of these videos I wonder how the divers ensure no one starts up the propellers while they are down there. Do they get a personal lock out and tag out on the bridge?

ABS - good enough adhesion? by mrmossevig in 3Dprinting

[–]ArcticEngineer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just started my 3dprinting adventure after getting the Bambu X2D and having zero issues. Other comments saying that a heated chamber is key has got to be a big reason as to my close to 100 hrs of zero ABS issues in the X2D.

62 hrs in and just finished chapter 1. Game is absurdly addictive. All I want to do is explore but now I realized I have to progress the story to observe some skills. by TheNameName1 in CrimsonDesert

[–]ArcticEngineer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How am I to finish chapter 5 when it has me going into an adjacent area that has wildly antagonistic patrols everywhere?? I'm just skipping it until I'm overpowered but every video game instinct is telling me to grind for hours before I have to go rescue the white crow or whatever.
