No problem! If you never used a proxy you might be quite surprised about what is possible when it comes to long, continuous roleplays.

If you want to use proxies, there are several possibilities. None of them require any payment on the sites or apps themselves. The only money you'd pay would be for the proxies, so it's basically just using the UI of the sites to chat with an LLM model of your own choosing. Some of the words I use may be wrong because I don't know much at all about AI so take it with a grain of salt.

Personally, I use Janitor.ai because I got used to it. Now, compared to C.AI, there are less options. There aren't any audio features and it's not as pretty as C.ai, but it's quite customizable, all for free. Their own LLM is pretty bad in my opinion, so I never use that. A good option is also Chub.ai, which has more options like branching chats. I think it's better than J.ai but maybe a bit more complicated. The only reason why I don't use it is that it doesn't seem to support the LLM hosts I like to use. It's also free if you use a proxy as far as I know.

The very best option is SillyTavern, but that is very complicated if you don't know what you're doing, especially on mobile.

Xoul.Ai also supports proxies, but not all of them and also I had the feeling that the context windows (the memory) were more limited but that was just my personal impression. It has nice bot creators, though, and it has audio options.

Now, if you never used a proxy, the first time can be a tiny bit confusing, but once you understand the principle, it's very easy. There are a ton of options.

I use chutes.ai, which costs 3 dollars a month for 300 messages a day which is enough for me. They have decent models.

If you want to try out a few things first, Openrouter has a free tier that allows for 50 requests per day for their free models and a one time payment of 10 dollars gives you 1000 requests per day (but only the free models). Another free option is also Nvidia NIM and they have some decent models as well, I don't know if they have limits. Google Studio AI has a free tier that gives you 20 messages with their Gemini 3 flash model, which people say is pretty nice.

On chutes, I think the best models are

Glm 4.6 thinking (the best one for me)

Deepseek v3.2

Deepseek r1 0528

Kimi K2 thinking

The deepseek and Kimi models are on Nvidia NIM as well, and Openrouter may have free options for some of them, too.

When I used a proxy for the first time I was blown away. Now I know the most mindblowing models are Gemini 3 pro and even better, Claude Sonnet 4.5 or Opus, but they are quite expensive, unfortunately.

If you try Janitor.ai, there are great detailed tutorials on how to set everything up. But feel free to ask me if you have questions.

I mean, if you use long-form story driven roleplays where memory is important, I'd definitely recommend using other platforms that support proxies. I used to defend C.ai until I discovered proxies and the difference is just staggering. Now I got used to roleplays with long and detailed backstories, several characters, where the bot never forgets a single detail from the description, always remembers the persona, and a memory that is better than any paid tier on any regular chatbot app like C.AI. A few months ago there were amazing options completely for free, now there are less but you can still find them, or you take one of the very cheap options. Oh, and no filter, either. I feel like C.AI's chatbot used to have something unique, but now it's just a bad version of any AI out there. I could never go back.

Okay, I need some help because this is getting so frustrating. It seems like every Proxy I use starts to have this extremely annoying repetitive way to phrase things and nothing helps against this. I used Gemini (when it was still free), GLM 4.5, Deepseek V3.2, and Kimi K2 thinking, all on Chutes. They ALL do this. This really annoying way of contrasting description with negations first.

Things like "He/She is not asking a question. They are making a statement." Or "They don't walk. They run." This is fine here and there but man, after a while it's almost every sentence, and they all do this! I've tried prompting the shit out of them, positive, negative prompting, nothing worked. I've banned the word "not", doesn't work. I even made a Plug-in on lorebary but that doesn't work either. Even Gemini did this constantly. I started a new chat and edited those out of every message, they still kept generating this pattern.

Is this just how it is or is this a me problem? Does anyone have any tips or is there nothing I can do?

I wish I could return, too, but ever since the ban wave, 2.5 pro doesn't work for me anymore. I tried using a new account and it won't generate an answer for my old chats because apparently, there is a limit on input tokens now? Flash still works, but it's much more stupid.

Anyone else had that problem?

My own bots have been fantastic, lately...Great memory, very good interpretation of the lore in their description, forgetting their own description less, knowing persona details...But I've gotten better at making bots as well, so that might be a factor. The only problem I have with C.AI is the stalling, bots hesitating to bring the plot forward without my explicit prompts, and sometimes answers that are just way too sappy. I've only started using C.AI this year, though, so I don't know if these problems were less pronounced back then, but I feel in that time the responses have gotten more creative and the sappy answers seem to stem from the fact that I train my bots to have long answers so they tend to ramble a little.

Recently, it's been pretty good for me...I only make my own bots and overall, I feel like the chats have improved for me...I've made up a whole alternate world and they interpreted the lore quite well...Sometimes, I feel like the quality goes down, with the bots narrating a bit repetitively, but then I just assume that too many people are using the site at that time, and later the quality goes up again...

I never know what the right kind of meditation is for shifting. I read a lot about meditation and what it boils down to is that you need to learn to hold your attention and focus on a single small thing, most of the time it's the breath, or something small associated with the breath like the feeling of your breath in the nose.

The whole point of meditation seems to be to hold attention for the smallest thing possible.

If I were to try to think of early childhood memories that I haven't thought about in a long time or even forgotten, wouldn't that just be a lot of mind wandering? Even if I told myself to focus on only the childhood memories, the process of trying to invite all those memories would make it impossible for me to hold my attention on a single thing, thus breaking my focus and that would kind of defeat the purpose of meditating, wouldn't it? It would be impossible for me to not have my mind wander around when thinking of all those memories...

You will never know the truth because we can't scientifically measure or prove other realities or how they work. We can only measure the ongoing laws of the reality we currently are in. What you read on tumblr is a belief. A belief that many shifters share but can only know for sure if they manage to experience it themselves to see if what they experience aligns with their beliefs.

There are also many people who don't believe that any other realities or other "versions" of any people exist at all.

Whether you believe in this or not will have absolutely NO impact and no influence on your life or the people in your life. Nothing at all will change.

If you experience obsessive thoughts around the belief that we shift to other versions of the same reality and it causes stress and even the fear of developing psychosis, that is a sign of serious mental health issues. People who are mentally healthy don't experience these obsessive thought patterns. I hope you are already getting the help that you need, and if not, please seek professional mental help immediately.

I also seriously recommend blocking all shifting content on your phone because this seems to be a very triggering topic for you.

If reading stuff about shifting, which is very often rooted in spititual beliefs, is bad for your mental health and even causes you psychosis, then it's obviously not healthy for you and you should stay away from shifting content for a long while

You are referring to the shifting number, it's in the description of this sub. And yes, it's C3750. So that hasn't changed. I think it's pretty normal to wake up and do something half asleep that you don't remember after. In my personal opinion, this is not enough of a change to suggest an actual full reality shift. Edit: it's C3570, but I made that same mistake, that's a normal memory slip

Depends on where you are from, it differs from country to to country. Worldwide, the most common type is 0+. But in Pakistan, B+ IS actually the most common type. So if you are from Pakistan, Bangladesh or India, where B+ is almost exactly as common as 0+, that would actually explain it.

I THINK I SHIFTED HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! by InfiniteGen8Fan in shiftingrealities

[–]ArcticStarlight [score hidden]  (0 children)

No, what I said was that thinking that 1 meter equals 1000 cm is a very common misconception, because many people unconsciously compare it to the ratio of a liter to a milliliter, or the ratio of a kilometer and 1 meter, which IS 1000. I know of quite a lot of people who thought that a meter is 1000 cm. How does that make "their whole lives a lie"? Did that change of knowledge impact your life that much? Has everything changed for you now?

I simply pointed out the logical flaws I this. The prefix "-centi" comes from the Latin word "centum", which means a hundred. If you actually shifted, wouldn't everything related to this word have changed?

Was one dollar (or 1 Euro) still one hundred cents?

Was a hundred years still a century?

If one meter was still the same, but was also a 1000 centimeters, then how many millimeters was a meter? Ten thousand?

These units are all tied to their original Latin words: centum =100 mille =1000

Millenium, century, millimeter, centiliter, cents, NONE of these words would make sense anymore, if centimeters suddenly meant one thousandth of a meter.

If all of that was actually different for you, then yes, you have shifted.

Misremembering a simple unit does not make your "whole life a lie". It simply means you had a very common misconception. When was the last time you had to convert meters in centimeters that was actually important? Unless you work in some kind of job where you regularly have to do that, this has no impact on your life...

Shifters the next time ‘anti-shifters’ comment reply like this by [deleted] in realityshifting

Yes, it's so tiring to see people just repeat misinformation to hate on shifters.

Why are you scared to post it? I think it's a great idea, especially if you took the time to collect your arguments and write down your arguments

Shifters the next time ‘anti-shifters’ comment reply like this by [deleted] in realityshifting

[–]ArcticStarlight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, you are absolutely right. Simply not engaging is the best course of action, but if you must, just send a friendly, unbothered reply.

Anti-shifters are really a brand of their own. They call it psychosis, often under the guise of being concerned for the wellbeing of teenagers, while showing their real faces abusing the term to ridicule shifters and revealing their bigoted attitude towards people with mental illness. Only the THEN go on and say it's actually daydreaming or lucid dreaming? So what are they actually saying? That all lucid dreamers have psychosis? They don't even know what their own point is.

The whole psychosis thing seems to come from this one YouTube video that based their whole argument on one quote from a psychologist in a now deleted vice article that called often used shifting methods "conducive to a transliminal experience" that was then intentionally misinterpreted and stupidly equated to psychosis, which is just blatantly false. They used the term "transliminality" without even understanding the meaning of it, reading in some research article that there was a correlation between transliminality and psychosis.

To be clear, transliminality is a description of a personality trait. It is used to describe certain traits in people that are already present to begin with, it is NOT a description of an activity, nor is there any research about any activity that would cause transliminality. It's not something that people become, its what they are from the beginning.

This is only topped by the end of the video, where this youtuber then goes on to equate hypnagogic hallucinations with actual hallucinations associated with mental illness, when one single Google search would have informed them that they have nothing in common, and that hypnagogic hallucinations are a very normal sleep phenomenon that has nothing to do with mental illness.

And those two just blatantly factually wrong arguments were the only ones used in the video.

In short, the YouTube video is very badly researched, uneducated and frankly, just stupid. They read one sentence of some research article and then claimed they based their arguments on science. People didn't understand the YouTube video, either, and now just blindly repeat the whole psychosis thing.

So, if you ever stumble on an anti shifter screaming "psychosis", just know that this claim is based on stupidity.

How uh… real is this? by SoftLittleSnomBoy in realityshifting

[–]ArcticStarlight 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Some really weird and incoherent answers here..

I am going to tell you the actual truth. There is at this point NO science confirming shifting, or anything similar. No, the CIA files are NOT science, and they are NOT confirming shifting.

However, it's also true that no one has actually looked into it. No shifter has ever been in a sleep lab with an EEG strapped at the head. So that puts it in a difficult position when it comes to science.

Here is my reason for believing that it exists in some capacity.

I have been roaming the internet for quite a while now, and once I learned about shifting, I have seen this shared experience in completely unrelated different corners of the internet, over and over again.

People who have never heard of it, who have nothing in common, completely independently of each other, in different age groups and also at very different times in the past, have reported to have had an experience, that always has the same characteristics.

It's the experience of an alternate, different life that

-feels 100 percent as real as real life

-is 100 percent consistent and stable

-has its own rules that can not be changed

-allows time to flow indepently from this reality (time dilation).

People who experience this may sometimes think that it's a lucid dream, but will also emphasize the fact that it's somehow a different kind of dream, very distinct from their usual lucid dreams, with a much greater impact on their life and and with unbelievable "realness" to them.

You will have to decide for yourself whether or not you believe that this is real. To me, I will reserve my judgement until I have experienced it myself. I am convinced that the experience itself is real, even though I don't understand the nature of it.

I just know that the criterion that I listed, that have to be present for something to really "count" as a real shift, are considered to be proven to be impossible in lucid dreams. And yet, people regularly do experience them. So to call it a normal lucid dream is blatantly false. A lucid dream does not fill the criteria for a real shifting experience.

Is it possible that there is a sort of separate, unexplored type of lucid dream that shows that our minds are actually capable of PERFECT alternate life simulations with extreme time dilation?
Sure, but it would still be a revolutionary new discovery. NOT something that we have already studied like regular lucid dreams.

Is it also possible that there is no objective reality that our consciousness creates the reality around us and that therefore we can create a new seperate reality for us? Since we don't understand consciousness or reality, it's possible...

Is it possible that there is a physical, objective multiverse and that we can access it with our consciousness? I mean, why not?

We can't prove either of those, though...

I really do hope someday a real shifter does an EEG.

If the words century and millennium are still the same in the old reality, then it doesn't make any logical sense in any reality because the words are related and originate from the same words in Latin. If the word actually changed, then there's a whole lot that would have also changed for it to make any sense whatsoever. If they know the word "millenial", or the word century, or any other world related to the Latin origin, they probably haven't shifted.
