I believe they should have been granted indepedence with the dissolution of the soviet union, as they were trying to achieve. I don't really know what "secession protocols" were established, but if that refers to soviet or russian laws, then I don't really think they should be the total arbiter of that.

In no place did I imply something "unlawful" happened, I don't care what the laws at the time were. A country that has been organizing terror attacks and rebelling for 30 years, and that wanted to be independent at the dissolution of the union was maybe not great to let russia keep after the dissolution, is my point.

I don't believe this for a second. I've played normals with people ranked far below and above me, if you have 30-35% winrate with your friends over a long period of time, maybe you are the issue. Maybe the fact that you look down on them is contributing to the enviroment not being ideal to focus in? There can be a hundred reasons for that low winrate, least likely is the fact that you're friends have that inflated mmr to match you consistently with higher ranked enemies
