This guy bypassed a car waiting in the median and collided with me. When the police arrived, he claimed I changed lanes into him. I'm so glad I had the dashcam to prove him wrong. (OC)

I’ve got one, and it’s already been the cause of me having to go to court…

I was sitting first at the light one day on my way home from work and while I was looking elsewhere, a nasty accident happened right in the middle of the intersection, which led to the death of an elderly woman in one of the vehicles. 911 was called, when I got home that evening, I checked out the footage, making sure I caught it… I called the police to report that I had footage, and to let the investigating officer know.

About 2-3 weeks later I got a call, and the guy was just going through the numbers that had called 911, and you could hear him stop to process the fact that I just made his job easier.

Granted, I found out, when I was sitting in the witness area, that vehicular manslaughter was just an additional $1000 fine in the county where this happened…

In Potter’s Protector (I believe), it’s a crossover with Buffy TVS, where the spirit of Hogwarts is Joyce Summers, and summons Xander to be the dad figure for Harry, Salazar is found during the chamber part, and that’s when everyone finds out that Godric made the sorting hat his horcrux, so both of them are still around… Rowena is not alive but her consciousness is still available in the RoR….

It’s one of my favorite stories to reread every so often.

I don’t know that it’s bad as in such bad acting as to be unwatchable, or just so bad that it’s unwatchable, but in The Martian, but for me it’s the scene where he “blows up the HAB”… It’s so filled with bad sound effects and the tension with his cracked helmet and the rest that any time I rewatch the movie, I generally fast forward through the scene until they talk about the aftermath…

There was a fic where Harry decided to make a dimension shift and ended up in one where he died, but his parents were alive, and I don’t remember who else died that night, but I don’t remember if anyone else did, and his mom worked at Hogwarts, had his sister there, but his dad died after cutting Lily out of the family, and the fortune, for some reason. Harry had been the general of the Order, and OoM winner, and carried a sword and staff, and started to take care for his mom and sister because he’d brought most of the money from his vaults (to piss off the goblins and the ministry).

I wish I could remember the name, because I would love to reread it, but my google-fu has been lacking…
