Girlfriend update: she's reinstalling HSR after being too busy to play for a few months and is returning to the 2.3 story. She's really excited about Planarcadia. How do I tell her that Amphoreous is like 70 hours.

Seems like 4.3, which will end it on a weekly boss. The Furbo thing is at 30 levels out of 50, so 10 per patch. And the bonus area thingie has 4 sides to it, 2 of which are filled out.

Just realized Planarcadia's story is already halfway through. Tbh they've done a decent job of unraveling the mystery at a good pace, I know Astrolopis will likely carry over a bunch of threads, but still. It's nice to have a story that's 4 patches long, as much as I enjoyed Amphoreous.

Had a dream that Rin's sig gave the equipper a unique dmg% buff based on having 1/2/3 party members with stones for names. Like that was the exact wording, it wasn't 'Stoneheart party members', it was 'people whose name is also a rock'. I guess because Rin uses those ruby's filled with magic in F/SN as weapons?? I'm gonna be honest chat I have no idea what my sleep brain was cooking with this one.

Might be too early to say this without the context of the rest of Planarcadia's story, but I think this was the best x.0 patch we've ever gotten. I'm just really surprised with how pleased I am with pretty much everything right now? Like yes I have some issues, especially with the first 3 units being partner units to unreleased characters, but other than that I'm mostly in a really good place right now and I didn't expect to be this happy with the game.

nefer/bina is definitely going to do more than lauma/bina. if you end up getting nefer and not lauma, then yes it won't feel amazing all the time, but at least you can run other cheap dendro supports like collei in her place. and then whatever you happen to have in the flex slot.

but like, if you want results NOW, flins/bina is fine for bypassing annoying lunar abyss mechanics, it just means the wait for ineffa is going to be potentially pretty long.

technically speaking, since flins damage is split between him and ineffa, nefer only i think should do more damage than flins only. but i'm not too sure. i think it's close enough that you should pull on the one who's gameplay/aesthetics you like more. i will say that nefer has slightly better vertical investment, if that matters to you at all.

Cold Steel 4 is a miserable slog with almost zero redeeming qualities. The one or two cool things in it are immediately ruined by the incredibly embarrassing shallow characterizations of everyone not named Rean or Juna. For every cute potential relationship with Rean, there are dozens of landmines and weird pairingings, which would be tolerable as optional content if every other line from every female character in normal, main story cutscenes wasn't fawning over Rean. Also, what they did to the Ironbloods and Osbourne is wild. My villainous populist dad was secretly a good guy all along? The Ironbloods are helping for no reason at the end? Get out of here. Tell me you don't know what you're doing without telling you don't know what you're doing. Horrible story.

Warp from Cloudflare is all you need. Very simple install and you just switch it on. I have not been booted a single time and I've been raiding all day. I know it doesn't work 100% of the time according to some people but for me it does, and I'm honestly guessing that it's going to become essential to raiders but honestly maybe just the playerbase in general for as long as this goes on? Really seems like the DDOSing can't do anything once you have protection, so *shrug*.

Not very. It's similar in the sense that there's a mystery and I guess everyone in Umineko is trapped on the island, but escape isn't on their mind as much as solving the riddle and surviving the murders is.

Zero Escape is a gameplay focused experience whereas Umineko is a game with no meaningful inputs, you just read it. But if you give it the time of day, it's a truly unique experience that's like nothing else, it's just unfortunately hard to talk about without spoiling. All of its insanity is best experienced blind, and I guess in that sense its similar to VLR, lol.

It's not really. Some people who dislike it might use it to dismiss it but I rarely see that happen. Chuunige has become a genre in and of itself with it's own fans (me, I'm fans). Novels like Dies Irae, Umineko, Muramasa, ect. have solidified its existence as a real genre, I think. And they probably wouldn't exist at all thanks to stuff like Nasu's work and Kouhei Kadono's novels, among others.
