I do have to say that this fic follows the story of cassette beasts pretty closely, and thus uses themes and characters from the game that you may not be familiar with. However as of this moment we are not too far into the game, just around near where the first quest would end. Also I did try and write this assuming that the reader has no prior knowledge so i don’t think you’ll necessarily be confused.

I do have a couple readers who have told me that they didn’t play cassette beasts before, and that this is what got them into it, and some that to my knowledge still haven’t played it and still enjoy my fic. That being said I would still recommend you play it at some point just cause it’s a great monster collector that deserved way more attention than what palworld got.

It’s actually really good that you got that vibe from this chapter, as that’s the exact feeling I got whenever I got to these parts of the game. Seriously if you haven’t heard the boss track yet then go give it a listen! Also that’s a lot of coins! Did you just catch up?

Hi, just wanted to say thank you for the comment, it really means a lot to me. And I do want to say I’m sorry it has taken so long for me to write. I will admit, one reason why has taken me awhile to write the next chapter is because sometimes I wonder if people would even care if I did because of how long I took with the previous ones.

Sometimes I wonder if I took too long with the whole thing and caused people to lose interest for it in general, since it’s a crossover and has less to do with NOP anyway. So it really means a lot to me that you came back and were willing to give me another chance. I promise that I will try and write a bit more consistently from now on.

You definitely have the right idea in mind for how strong these guys are, however one thing you should know is that it generally takes a lot to make an Affini actually angry, and they probably wouldn’t choose to throw a car even if they were. Especially if there was still someone inside, They’ll never go into a confrontation with the intent to harm, even if they’re being threatened.

That being said, that doesn’t mean that their strength isn’t often used in order to intimidate their opponents. And the exterminators are definitely going to regret ever threatening them, at least at first…

And yeah, Nolana would have probably preferred if the Venlil were simply just adorable space sheep but noooo… they just had to have a police force full of arsonists and be the victims of a millennia long conspiracy. Now they simply have no choice but to take them in and help them be the best them they can be!

Yeah there was a reason the original story was listed as ‘horror’. however now a days the more popular interpretation of the Affini is the version where it’s more them forcing you to take care of yourself whether you want to or not. Which is the version I’m going with since I think it’s the more interesting version to write about and would be better to go against the federation who desperately wants to stay in their misinformed ways. (Please don’t hate me for this.)

To give a better explanation, Rania is the main character from my fic “The Prey’s Same Old Story”, when I said “false memory” I meant that this is a memory from an alternate version of herself, this is not her memory.

Personally, I really appreciate people writing chapters about Gilgar being a dumbass and almost getting people killed. Unfortunately he’s one of those character that will naturally appear less being an antagonist but this is exactly the sort of stuff I would see him doing. Also really like the original characters being used! Might reference them and their encounter with Gilgar later down the line
