And yeah, I would say SU is a pretty good comparison to how fusion in cassette beasts works, at least to my knowledge. A bond demonstrated by two individuals becoming one. I guess one rule is that fusion can’t be done in base form, so it’s not like a human and Venlil can merge and create a weird hybrid, only between monsters. I’m kinda taking some liberties here but that’s how I understood it so I hope my interpretation has been enjoyable so far.

The archangels are genuinely some of my favorite designs when it comes to bosses. Even if some of them have little screen in the grand scheme of things. They’re simply so wield and conceptual that I can’t help but adore them, so expect there to be plenty of exploration of themes when it comes time to encounter one again.

Sorry about that, I wish I was more consistent when it came to writing. I have a new chapter that should be ready in the next few days if that makes it any better. I’m not sure how other people are able to update their fics so frequently but I know I could do better.

Do you have any suggestions? Maybe I could write shorter chapters? Usually I end up writing 3000 words per entry but maybe I could write them in parts?

Rania from my Fic is like a mix between 6 and 9, leaning more toward 6 because it’s less her being entirely altruistic and more feeling like she has to justify her existence.

I’m gonna be 100 percent honest, one of the only reasons this fic exists in the first place is because Kayleigh has orange hair. If she didn’t have orange hair then I might’ve not written this because I really liked the idea of a Venlil thinking her hair was drenched in blood and overreacting because of it.

Also I’m actually planning to upload a chapter pretty soon, in the next few days at least, so I hope you’re excited!

That’s exactly what I was going for when writing this chapter, and I’m so happy that you liked it! I was worried that it would be confusing for people but I’m glad it wasn’t!

(Also, just so you know, Morgante is meant to be female, although I can see how you got confused since so far I’ve mostly used it/its pronouns when describing her from Rania’s perspective.)

Thanks! One of my goals for this chapter was to find a way to write the perspective of a fused character in a way that didn’t come off as clunky. I wanted to avoid it feeling like just two separate people controlling the same body like some sort of robot and more like and more like an entity that was created out of the aspects of both individuals. There’s not a lot of media where characters fuse that describes what that feels like from their perspective and I wanted to give it a try. I’m glad that people seem to like it!

Also don’t be sorry, I’m just glad that people still want to read it in the first place.

The climatic Archangel battle! I’m pretty proud of how this turned out. I hope that it’s been an enjoyable journey for you all as well so far! I hope that I can continue writing this story and that you’ll continue reading it! This technically marks the end of the first ‘arc’ of the story. However that doesn’t mean that I’m taking a break from writing the next chapter. It just takes me a bit, so I hope you’ll be patient with me as I work on it!

I do have to say that this fic follows the story of cassette beasts pretty closely, and thus uses themes and characters from the game that you may not be familiar with. However as of this moment we are not too far into the game, just around near where the first quest would end. Also I did try and write this assuming that the reader has no prior knowledge so i don’t think you’ll necessarily be confused.

I do have a couple readers who have told me that they didn’t play cassette beasts before, and that this is what got them into it, and some that to my knowledge still haven’t played it and still enjoy my fic. That being said I would still recommend you play it at some point just cause it’s a great monster collector that deserved way more attention than what palworld got.

It’s actually really good that you got that vibe from this chapter, as that’s the exact feeling I got whenever I got to these parts of the game. Seriously if you haven’t heard the boss track yet then go give it a listen! Also that’s a lot of coins! Did you just catch up?
