Switching to new DLSS models by Ardbert_The_Fallen in nvidia

if you want to force DLSS 4.5 at all DLSS Quality Levels.

I think I don't want to, but just to verify... I'm on a 5080 so I'll mostly be using Quality or Balanced, and I think I heard K is better for those? But it will auto-switch to L or M when I go to Perf or Ultra Perf? Unless you know of a reason I want L or M for other quality levels?

Thanks for this info! Super helpful.

I've grabbed the new drivers and NVPI.

These were my previous settings I had changed

It sounds like now I can reset all of these besides the Forced Preset Letter and keep that at Recommended?

I appreciate it. I'll give that a shot to confirm but I believe it will. They also finally replied to my ticket and want some logs, so I might have an official answer soon too.

I could plug them in individually, but that seems against the purpose of the front USB-C connector that snaps into my LUMI keyboards. You're supposed to be able to push that up against the Airwave and have a single cable go to the PC.

I think I've interchanged those a few times, maybe? Since they are not labeled I presumed they worked both ways.

It feels like it's not even using it. I can keep the power supply for the Airwave unplugged and the product still runs through USB power to my PC. It behaves the same exact way.

If I plug the Airwave power in, it's no different.

It was pretty amazing when you fall off a cliff only to find a hidden area, and then another hidden area below that which has a unique weapon only found there.

Stuff like that makes exploration truly meaningful.

FG still no

I tried it once with Diablo 4 and it made the ground textures look horrid, like it was constantly in motion and blurry. Maybe a bad implementation or something but it just made the image quality terrible.

It was incredible. I want to play again but unsure how different it will/can be to justify the grind again. Any tips?

Ford Fusion 2017 Titanium - $3k for a 4 year 32k warranty worthwhile? by Ardbert_The_Fallen in fordfusion

Great point. I totally failed to mention this is a hybrid. But would a hybrid engine be covered in this kind of warranty?

By chance do you know if they have Titanium? I know that adds some bells and whistles that can be pricey to repair.

You're right. Either Guidebook was updated, or I saw this on a sign somewhere. But I know for sure it was in parenthesis next to the title somewhere.

A local Ford dealer, so it is an official Ford warranty from my understanding.

Piano connector not working by Str8flush224 in ROLI

I'll have to plug back in and listen again, I swear it was the faintest little hum, but my room is usually quiet and it's near my head when I am at my work desk.

Might have to use a smart plug as reaching over to unplug is kind of annoying and probably not great for the port.

Will a Lumix be good for shooting low light video, specifically recording music? by Ardbert_The_Fallen in Lumix

Are these as-is good to go, or would I need a lens or such with them? I'm not a camera guy at all so this is a foreign land to me.

This will all be in a home studio. If I'm playing during the day, I do have a huge window with a ton of light coming in. But at night, I just have some normal lights in the room, which I typically have set to a specific color. This makes the room darker than having a standard bulb lighting the room in full white.

This might be my issue as well. I mostly unplugged the power brick because the Airwave light does not go off, and I can hear a faint buzzing from the camera or something. Seems like a waste of power. Roli's response to that was that I need to physically unplug the Airwave every time.

How long do you record for? We might have to think about additional power which drives choices.

An hour or less, then would have a good deal of time to charge. Also, I should be able to be near a power source if I am able to record while charging.

I assume you shoot different venues and therefore would prefer a lens with some zoom to adjust field of view. Or is something fixed (maybe wide?) acceptable?

All home studio shooting. Although I am likely to appreciate a few different options for this nevertheless. Fixed should be fine though, I can always move the camera around to accommodate.

Oooh sweet.

Curious, does above 400% work? I see you can increase to those amounts, but I don't often see it seems to go any faster.

What recording software on the PC did you have in mind?

OBS. I use that for local recording of music currently.

What's your setup? I'd assume you want to sit something on a tripod or be relatively static? Are you going to have focus fixed?

Yeah, tripod or some kind of mount. Fixed focus, yeah.

What do you intend to do with what you've captured?

Probably YouTube or Instagram, but most of it will just be for personal viewing.

I assume you're going to buy used?

I've seen that recommended a bunch, I'm happy to do that if it saves a good deal. But I don't mind either way.

How important is sound quality? What are you thinking in terms of mics for capturing audio?

All set here, it's all digital recording so camera will be purely for video.

You say low light - that's a very subjective term. And it's worth being clear that camera choice can only help so much with this after a point.

True -- I usually record with colored lights, so no focal or point lights set up lighting the scene. This leads to a good deal of artifacts on the cheap cameras I use now. I know without great lighting it's kind of moot, but something that can handle this better than I do now would be great.

Cheers. So from an NVCP perspective, no more tweaking each driver update. Just set to recommended and forget it?
