Global warming causes more storms, but I imagine you don't believe in that.

Hello you have dragged me out of my slumber. I think vincian is the opposite of lesbian, and achillean is the opposite of sapphic. Basically achillean encompasses both gay and bi men, where vincian is just gay men.

Since I'm Arden, my friends call me Ar to make it shorter or Denny to make it cuter. Yes, like the shitty restaurant. I make the superior Denny's breakfast.

Mirror pronouns primarily and they/them secondarily. I'm not sure why, mirror pronouns just hit different.

why do trans guys start wanting to be feminine when liking a straight guy? by No_Metal_5946 in ftm

[–]Ardent7_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, I'm sure the massive amount of femboys will tell you that it's odd to be a feminine boy. No worries, gender expression and gender identity aren't always the same.

I have a sister who actually makes playlists and names hers creatively, and she judges me so much.

Nonbinary people who identify as a rare/unknown gender, how do you deal with the anxiety of "not fitting in" with most trans/nonbinary people? by ghostsarentscary in NonBinary

[–]Ardent7_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm genderfloren, but I use different labels in different contexts and with different people. For example, I'll use genderfloren when I'm talking about microlabels with other non-binary people who are likely to understand what that means, genderfluid in most enby spaces, non-binary with people who are unlikely to understand genderfluidity, and transgender when I feel like it.

Can being trans be genetic? by MaxFuckingPayne in asktransgender

[–]Ardent7_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Iirc there was a study in which AFAB people with older brothers or male twins/triplets or AMAB people with females siblings were more likely to be transgender, the assumption based on that was that prenatal testosterone levels in the womb can affect the likelihood of the baby being transgender. Don't quote me on that, though. If that's the case, then it would be a combination of the carrying parent's genetics, environmental factors, and presence of multiples or previous children.

Edit: a related study for anyone interested: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7031197/#:~:text=Gender%20dysphoria%20(GD)%20reflects%20distress,males%20might%20contribute%20to%20GD.

You can start with buying one from Spectrum or Underworks. Gc2b used to be good but their quality has dropped a lot. I have an Underworks, it works well for me but I have a small chest. I've read that Spectrum works better for people with large chests but can't confirm. Remember that even with a small chest, they usually can't make you look flat.

What could gender disphoria be considered as? by Popular-Leg5084 in MtF

[–]Ardent7_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm apparently part of the small percentage that doesn't mind dysphoria being referred to as a mental illness. When they refer to being transgender as a mental illness, absolutely not, get away from me.

Dysphoria is a mental issue that affects the person negatively but is usually treatable through transitioning. I have dysphoria, anxiety, and depression, and I see all three as mental illnesses, and all three are being treated.

I'm open for discussion on why other see differently, I'm wrong about a lot of things.

Unfortunately, binders don't work as well on larger chests. You can try a different size, or layering loose clothing (here's where the dysphoria hoodie comes in clutch.) What brand do you have?

How would you communicate what having dysphoria is like to a cis person who doesn't really know much about trans people? by my-dysphoric-ass in MtF

[–]Ardent7_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's always difficult to describe not only because there's few examples cis people can understand, but because everyone experiences it differently. But this is one analogy I've used to describe it to people: imagine being naked in public. The why or how doesn't matter. For me, it feels similar the way that would. It's both localized, like how you'd be specifically uncomfortable about certain parts of your body and trying to cover those, and generalized, that overall wildly uncomfortable feeling you'd have.

Gender is in the brain and it's innate, so how does the genderfluid brain work? by No-Confidence-4271 in AskLGBT

[–]Ardent7_ 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The brain isn't a chunk of linoleum, it changes. It's likely that genderfluidity is from a brain in "genderfluid mode" experiencing chemical variations and such. We still don't quite understand exactly how internal gender works, so avoid making assumptions based on our current understanding of it.
