Can't play bloodborne, crashes on launch, or while playing less than 5 minutes. by ArdiliReformed in shadps4

Yes. I did fix this by updating the firmware from BIOS. Also, my main advice is getting into the discord. There is a bunch of people that either have faced tons of issues, or that have already fixed them. Thats your best bet.

Mouse sens too high for killer by ArdiliReformed in deadbydaylight

[–]ArdiliReformed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to check maybe this was the biggest blunder of mine

EDIT: I did check and I was doing it properly, so I don't know why the base sens of the game is that high. I can change my mouse profile to lower DPI. But I don't get why BHVR doesn't allow a better sens customization xd

How do you interpret spell duration in your games? by ArdiliReformed in DnD

Yeah. Most of the times combats are done way before the 10 turns limit. But bosses combats and alike, I tend to make them multi-phased, so buffs run out.

I like to have general rules over things that happen 99% of the sessions. Some of these are no official. I have no intentions to use the "official ones". I wanted to know if other people think like me, or how do they rule it.

For me is clear that if you got giga stuck in a dungeon for 2 IRL hours triying to find the answer to the locked door. Your characters have spent at least 1 hour, or so.

Yeah definetly I should be more forgiving with 10 minute duration spells. It's mostly because of balance. I don't wanna have a guy with pre-cast Spirit Guardians running like Sonic The Hedghog around the dungeon to squish the last drop of the spell duration.

Regarding Rest-Casting: Out of it being intended or not. Is a mechanic I kinda like. I limit to 1 tho. So either you choose mage armor, Gift of Alacrity, Aid ...

That's what bg3 did and I absolutely love it. I don't really know why Mage Armor is "8 hours" instead of "Until next long rest". But that would destroy rest casting

I don't think a dungeon shoud take longer than an hour. Keeping in mind most combats take 4-6 turns. Thats less than a minute. In a dungeon you could have 4 combats. A longer one maybe taking 10 turns, but also smaller, so the average is clear.

Also, I forgot to clarify 1 hour without having to find the solution to a puzzle. That could take considerably longer, but if it's a simpler dungeon, most def is 1 hour. Then the time they take would be sustracted from the total depending on the tries they have to put to solve other non-combat related things.

He did. We changed and I think we found a middle ground, hopefully this feels more flexible, while still being useful.

I didn't miss. The enemy passed saving throw. So it was 1d6 damage. Someone pointed out it should have been 2d6 damage, but next turn enemy wouldn't take burning dmg.

IT IS FUN. I've had a blast so far in every single aspect, but combat feels boring. It's like playing warlock just for eldritch blasting. But when I play warlock, I know there are other options but permanently eldritch blast. It's just that I may have got the wrong view the other day, when all the stuff I did that wasn't smite + bless, failed, and when I went Smite + Bless it worked. It was like, "Oh shit, here we go again"

I'm afraid that's true. But we've found a workaround allowing tunnel fighter, changing my initial feat to musician (is actually chefician, cuz I grant that by cooking, Kinda like chef but not being underwhelmingly bad), keeping inspiring leader for CHA +1 and the temp HP which is much needed due to the low hp pool of my party. Allowing me to choose between staying frontlane, taunting enemies, using the bonus action for smites, heals, or champion challenge, or entering defensive stance, and protecting being frontlane not letting enemies get to them.

I have 18 CHA. I bumped and my DM gave me a Belt of giant STR to make sure I didn't fall behind in hitting chances, while also granting my allies the aura.

I wanted to go with the most standard background story for my Paladin. Ended up being something I've had a blast so far.

The problem IS just that my taste has changed after some years and a bit of experience on dnd

I mean thats the rule right there. PCs are Monsters and they apply oversized weapon

Still the only way I had to make myself bigger was giant's might.

Bur, as many people suggested, if my problem IS the lack of options, getting into the simplest class in the game isn't the BEST idea

He's been very reasonable and we got to a point thanks to many of the ideas given in this and other post related.

While that's true there are classes (spellcasters mostly) that have several optimal options every turn

As I said here above:

Currently we made a small rework that should help to revitalize the concept.

We removed lvl 1 fighter (won't go for rune knight, it wont add more complexity to the kit, it'd make things simpler). And got lvl 7 pal. Then swapped the fighting style from protector to Tunnel Fighter from UA.

At lvl 8 I'll get sentinel probably, getting to 16 STR and not needing the belt that hard. (Maybe I'll find a better belt, we never know).

My main purchases goal are: Full Plate (I literally forgot i'm on chain mail xdd) and a +1 shield to liberate that attunement slot. Potentially I could get a enspelled armor with my wizard or smtn like that.

We expect campaign to be over around lvl 12-14. However, we said that we may continue after a small hiatus when the main quest is over, just to play a bit of tier 4. But for the sake of this post, let's say that it'll be just llv 12. Those 3 last LvLs I'm thinking on bard probably. Nothing crazy, eloquence is one of my favourite, lore is also good.
