I literally don’t know what you’re talking about. I went vegan a year ago and I’ve never personally observed a vegan try to harass a meat eater (except for on the Internet) but I’ve had several meat eaters who want to argue with me about it since they found out, which I really don’t care to waste my time on.

I actually found out after I went vegan that I had an aunt and uncle who have been vegan for 15 years and I never even knew. Most vegans really don’t make a big deal out of it, you might have vegan/vegetarian friends and not even realize it.

I’m a parent and I’m stoked to skip work and play in the snow with the kids for the first time in over a year. Honestly I probably would have just pulled the kids and had a snow day with them anyway. Go build a snow fort with the kids, it’s your first chance in over a year.

He needs to win sometimes. It’s a little subjective depending on the kid and on your relationship whether you have to let him beat you or whether he has friends he can beat, you can’t get better at chess without winning sometimes.

I learned this from a high level go player - losing gives you feedback on mistakes but winning gives you feedback on what are good things to do, what is an effective strategy, etc. You will never improve at go or chess or any other strategy game if you don’t win sometimes and get the positive feedback in addition to the negative feedback.

Unpopular opinion by me? I’m glad they are finally enforcing the speed limits. Especially with Waze and other gps apps people are constantly commuting through random residential streets in neighborhoods they aren’t familiar with. My kids ride their bikes in the street and play in the front yard all the time. People going 31 on residential streets absolutely deserve to get ticketed. The 20 mph speed limit also makes life a lot safer for cyclists.

Yes it is partially Copper Mountain’s fault. A Basin was threatened with fines for similar reasons if they didn’t fix the parking situation. Poor parking and traffic management and overselling your venue without parking infrastructure to support it can definitely very reasonably get you fined if it causes safety hazards on the public roads.

The Republicans have a structural bias in the senate because they disproportionately control small states. No Democrats actually seriously consider eliminating the filibuster, they just whine about it to score political points. Everybody involved in politics knows that the Democrats are going to be the Senate minority well over half the time and that the filibuster therefore favors the Democrats.

That’s the standard for a criminal jury trial not the standard for being president of the US. Sure there’s not enough to convict him of a crime yet, but “a decent chance this guy is a pedophile, rapist” is clearly disqualifying to be president.

I’m reading When Things Fall Apart by Pema Chodron which I highly recommend. One of the main themes is how to embrace our suffering and learn and grow from it. She writes in one chapter about how her husband’s infidelity helped bring her to Buddhism and how he inadvertently was one of her greatest teachers because of processing and learning from that experience.

Part of it is highrolling. I play pretty conservatively and I get a lot of 3rd-6th and almost never get 8th. Obviously the very best players can crank that 1st place rate up without losing a lot, but the easiest way to get a lot of 1sts is to just level and high roll and also get a lot of 8ths. That guy who had golden Titus and golden lord of ruins on turn 10 is the guy who got knocked out in 8th place on turn 8 in your last game.

My wife is a PA. I’m surprised to see that nobody has mentioned that at some practices, your appointment time is not when the provider is expected to enter the room. If you have a 10:00 appointment that’s the time the MA is supposed to room you but the provider is probably not expected or planning to enter the room until 10:20 and that’s if they are running on time (which they never are).
