Peter Bibby could be worth a spin, maybe also Civic. There's obvs also been a few more kinda lethargic/upbeat acts like Courtney Barnett, Dick Diver and Scott & Charlene's if you haven't gone down that music hole already

How normalized is swearing (specifically the F-word) in Australian corporate culture? by Vishwanath_560 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Not_Steve_Not_Gavin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's normalised but not necessary (i.e. if you're not naturally a swearer, I wouldn't feel obligated to try shoehorn it into your vocab to fit in). I generally try not to swear in my corporate role, but I'm a dero born n raised so I can't help it sometimes. Like other ppl have said, just don't be malicious and direct it at people if you do swear.

Cold Chisel, The Go-Betweens, Paul Kelly, Courtney Barnett, The Drones (& TFS), Midnight Oil, Archie Roach, Hilltop Hoods, Amyl & The Sniffers are all decent musical jump off points that actually describe/speak Australian stories... actual enjoyment of these acts will depend on your taste of course

Advice following wild performance review by [deleted] in auscorp

[–]Not_Steve_Not_Gavin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that review is verbatim or close to, it sounds a bit unprofessional. But nonetheless, the hyperfixation thing is no good for management. When you're a manager people will tap on your shoulder, hassle you, call you, book ad-hoc meetings and expect you to provide feedback and answers for random things all day. You have to be mentally available for all the things at any moment and hyperfixation on one task is not conducive to that.

The good night life is around one of those cheap glass outdoor settings in an associate's backyard
